Blue3k:
What exactly did the money get spent on? Did the emirate do anything illegal? What is the significance of this? Is anyone going to jail or going to be forced to payback monies?

It seems like the news is incomplete. N2.9 billion are we supposed to gasp or what? The spend of these guys needs to be transparent that's all I know. Right now designer shoes and cars wouldn’t amount to that much.

The Emir claimed cars were gifts. He also said he renovated money with his own money. What did the 2.9 billion go to I ask again?

P.S Can the political partisans agree on fiscal transpency instead of arguing about which hunts. We shouldn't have blind loyalty to any of these guys.

Also friendNG the story is incomplete detail are coming later. Book a space so you add. The title and contexts also changed. They rushed this story out. The update say Emirate spent 2.9 billion.
OK.

BE VERY CAREFUL IN LIFE
Trump is 70
Hillary is 69
Obama is 55
70+69+55=194
Nana Addo is 72
John Mahama is 59
NDC is 3 letters
NPP is 3 letters
Therefore 3+3+72+59=137
USA is 3 letters and nigeria is 7 letters.
5+7=12

ONLY N3.4 billion.

Lol.

When sls was busy ranting about the profligacy of northern elite, he probably didn't realise that those he was attacking know the skeletons in his cupboard. Here's a man that pretends to be riled about the level of poverty in the north, yet the hypocrite goes about displaying unprecedented opulence. He claims the Royce Royce he is using is a gift from friends, but even if that is the case, he shouldn't be driving such an expensive car in the midst of widespread poverty if he has a conscience.

Nigerdelta oil. sorry.

Those non-Igbo elders of Nigerdelta who journeyed to Kaduna in 1967 to beg northern governor to ask Gowon to carve out non-Igbo groups from Biafra, an action that scuttled Biafra; you committed HIGHEST TREASON against Nigerdelta.

N2.9b... N4b, what's the difference?
No transparency, no accountability.

In any case, hope Sanusi realizes that now that he has decided to start speaking out against the "Northern elites", they will dig up his case. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Well I believe if an investigation is launched based on the allegations dat led to his suspension, d dude would be found wanting but dat would mean GEJ was right. This govt is strictly interested in telling u GEJ was wrong so make we leave Emir to flex
Re: Emir Sanusi's Kano Emirate Admits Spending N3.4 Billion by texazzpete(m): 3:37pm On Apr 24, 2017
I'll wait to hear details on how that amount was spent before any criticism.

Sanusi has always struck me as an upright man. I'll stick to that until there's clear evidence of any financial misdeeds.

That was how the GEJ administration accused him falsely and he calmly and succinctly debunked all the allegations.

Re: Emir Sanusi's Kano Emirate Admits Spending N3.4 Billion by rose54321:
In this zoo country you cannot constructively criticize.
I saw this coming, once Sanusi started speaking the truth, criticizing his wasteful northern governors and the present administration, the next thing is to find dirt on him.

What a country, no matter what they dig up, what the Emir said is true " There is no advantage, none at all, in raising an organized army of uneducated unemployed beggars"

We stand with Sanusi
