The President has the right to setup a committee to investigate anything including corruption with the mandate of implementing a recommendation which includes termination of an employee. The president cannot based on recommendations of a committee bring up charges against individuals. However, the president can submit reports indicting any individual to the appropriate prosecutorial agencies. These agencies can then determine if prosecution is in order.

The Vice President is not working to bring charges but to determine if a breach of contract happened which should result in termination of appointment. This is very well within the jurisdiction of any employer including the president.

The NPF and Efcc are under the office of the National Security Advicer.
The investigation Osinbajo is conducting is merely internal and to give substance to the allegations , and if the two men are found guilty they Will be handed over to the NPF or EFCC . The police can even complement on Osinbajo's finding .
Even the National Assembly and Judicial Commission conduct. internal investigation before allowing the police take over .
The same thing happens in private organizations too

I think the only credibility remaining in this government is Osinbajo. They are about exhausting it. He is being used to do all the dirty jobs with the assertion that Nigerians will believe him.
One day we will no longer believe him and things will fall apart.

If the author of the OP is a lawyer, he/she should be disbarred immediately. We have too many ignorant people polluting the cyberspace with uninformed opinion. The Osinbajo committee was set up to enable the president take an informed administrative decision on the matter. EFCC, ICPC, police or any other agency that wants to investigate the matter can still go ahead without any hindrance.

Buhari was changing currency in Nigeria but allowed 52 suitcases of the father of his Aid De Camp entry into Nigeria.

The committee is unessesary, because it cannot Prosecute anyone, only the Court can Prosecute.
This is a criminal case and should have gone directly to directly to court.
