those militants are stronger than boko haram and have a wide coverage of save heavens and sympathizers, boko haram mainly operates in three states and they often live freely in bushes in the sambisa forest...whereas the afganis lot are specialists in hiding in caves due to the mountaneous nature of the place...and moreover our troops have been complaining of inadequate military hardware to fight the bh terrorist...certainly the purchase of this aircraft is a boost
So you think fighter jets are suitable for fighting these random people scattered throughout the thick forests? They should tell us the costs or the deal... and how much the missiles will cost....and how much we have to pay them for maintenance.... for training and heaven knows what else.

At $50 million the A29 super Tucano jet is extremely overpriced. It is listed as about $10million in reuter's website.

I feel betrayed because I thought both the present Nigerian Government and the present United States Government, will deviate from the status quo.
These jets are expensive to maintain, the money would have been better spent on multi purpose attack Helicopters.

Where people get their prices from is a mystery.
A combat aircraft is a flying integration of systems. An aircraft company quotes the price of airframe, engine and very basic avionics in the 2000 and people are running with it. SMH.
Anyone who expects SuperTucano to be cheaper than the MI 35 chopper is not being realistic
