If you want a more affordable option, there is an Infinix Hot 4 Lite which drops the Fingerprint sensor and has only 1GB RAM.

For the best and cheapest smartphone to use in Nigeria, i go with Infinix & most especially my favourite baby(nothing compared to my girlfriend tho') the Infinix Hot S which is the most premium of the
Cheap Android phones on this list(Gionee, Infinix & Tecno). It
features a brilliant 5.2-inch Display with
1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.
The phone is loaded with Andorid 6.0
(Marshmallow) and is a high performance
smartphone thanks to its octa-core
processor. You can choose between 2GB
or 3GB RAM.
The Android phone offers a fingerprint
sensor with a price tag starting at 53,500
Naira. Wouldnt you rather go for it?? Just saying

Which one is Infinix? How long has it been on the market?
OP the truth about these phones is that the longer they've been on the market, the better they are tried and tested, meaning you are not shelling out money for prototypes but from experience.
This is why I prefer tecno, they've been on the market for ten years, have made mistakes and learnt from them and so buying them means you're benefiting from experience.
I prefer tecno. Especially this their new camon cx

Sometimes you wonder if the manufacturer of infinix has lived in Nigeria for some years or in Africa before this idea of a phone. Infinix is giantly admirable l am currently using infinix hot 4 lite and l am enjoying every bit of it I feel like giving a special gift to the maker of the phone. Infinix Anyday anytime.

Abveeegi. I have used all three, and user experience is NOT one of the advantages of Gionee. The software and interface for Gionee is rigid, difficult to navigate and boring.
I have used Gionee M5 and am currently using Infinix Hot 4 Pro, and I will choose Infinix a thousand times over..
Tecno is usually good, but I hate their phones cos it must have a huuuge disadvantage. like the new Camon CX having high end specs with stupid 3000 man battery.
The newly launched infinix hot S2 also has a stupid 3000mah. If it is tecno we won't hear word.

techno phones are no longer cheap.
techno L9 plus. with quadcore processor, 2G RAM, 16G ROM, and no 4G selling at an amount that can buy infinix note 3 pro(octacore+4G and better display).
check out the phonepad 3, another 2G RAM+16G ROM, and with a quadcore processor.
count tecno out of cheap phones.

go for hot 4, not the lite version. lite has 1G RAM, while regular hot 4 comes with 2G RAM.
both come with 4000mah battery, quadcore processor. the lite does not have finger print scanner.

Not sure about other devices but I know Gionee devices start from as little as like N12k

I love All the three brands, but i think Tecno & Infinix produce mid-entry phones compared to Gionee. That's not to play down the fact that Gionee too, has its own brand of affordable phones.

Check out the best Gionee smartphones.

And that is why I won't buy the equally stvpid hot S2. Tecno is fond of stressing a certain spec in a phone, while providing crappy specs in other areas of the same phone. It is either the battery is verrryyy good and has crappy RAM, ROM, sensors or sub-par camera, or the Camera is top notch, but has rubbish battery. whenever I see an Infinix, Gionee or Tecno phone that they advertise as best "selfie" smartphone or long battery life, I half expect crappy specs in other areas of the phone. Only Flagships like Samsung provide most (not all) specs in one phone.

But everyone cannot afford a Samsung or iPhone devices. These so called crappy phones are affordable to the common man. I can't use a phone that is beyond my annual income.

I'd infinix coz infinix at least guarantee one major software upgrade,I don't know about gionee but I know in this respect tecno are basically non existent. gionne phones are usually more expensive than infinix and tecno with similar specs, and though I can't confirm it myself the general consensus is that tecno current c series and phantom usually have very good cameras

the world should know about the best.
what business software could phonepad 3 has that's not on play store?
every smartphone is for businessmen, tecno is only using that to sell.
how can one buy a phone with quadcore processor and inferior battery at 70k?
lol
