The last time Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo met with Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi, they embraced with people around watching in admiration the two great custodians of our heritage as a race.

Oba Akiolu should learn from this, even as Alaafin of Oyo had issues with the late erstwhile Ooni of Ife.

What Oba of Lagos doesnt know is that his title is very limited,to me,he is the Chief of all those Lagos Red Caps Chiefs but Ooni Of Ife is a representative of Oduduwa and by protocol or even respect,Oba of Lagos is not even fit to untie the lace of Ooni Of Ife's shoes.

Oba Of Lagos is not an A-List Oba too and that is why he cant walk with any stool of power or a in some occasions cover his face.

"Oba" of Lagos is way below their league. That's why he's always in the news for the wrong reasons only, without recourse to the cultural values that the Yorubas are known for.

What is 'Oba' Akiolu? He is an ordinary Baale in Yoruba monarchial ranking. Something like a colonel, while Oba Adewusi is like Commander in chief. Akiolu too small for what he did.
This thing that every Baale is becoming king is a cause for disrespect. Alaafin, Ataoja, Alake, even Olubadan are all higher ranked kings than Eleko of Eko land.

Oba of Lagos has been a tout from time immemorial.

He attained the position by sheer political affiliation and not on merit.

Moreover, Oba of Lagos is just a man-made throne which has no place in Yoruba history. Its more of a social title.

He lacks respect for his fathers if he can snub Oni!
