Nollywood Actress, Halima Abubakar revealed she was flown to India for a Fibroid Removal Surgery, which went successfully.

The Kogi State-born actress, thanked her fans and those who supported her during the period of her surgery, and she of course slammed “some of her colleagues” who didn’t bother to react out to her during the period.

“When being strong is the only option you have. #This is what fibroids fibrosis looks like swipe. #God is the greatest #will share more when am back. #peaceandlove.


“Thank you all for your support and prayers. And few of my Nollywood family who constantly check up on me, the rest are not important and don’t like my pics pls,” she wrote.

Halima also shared some photos from the surgery, where the fibroid tumor was removed from her body as well as some photos taken during the surgery..
“Fibroids are muscular tumors that grow in the wall of the uterus (womb). Research shows that about 20% to 80% of women develop fibroids at the age of 50. In 2013, it was estimated that 171 million women were affected. Not all women with fibroids have symptoms. Women who do have symptoms often find fibroids hard to live with.”
