The leader of the Indegeneous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been granted bail in the sum of N300million with three sureties in like sum by an Abuja Federal High Court. After Kanu was granted bail by Justice Binta Nyako, Biafra, supporters took to the streets in various parts of Nigerian to celebrate.

1. Agitation for Republic of Biafra continues Do not be surprised if Biafra supporters take their agitation to a whole new level following the bail granted to their leader. They are already seeing the court’s verdict as a victory. The Biafra supporters have refused to give up their agitation for the sovereign state of the Republic of Biafra despite efforts by the federal government to curb their activities.

2. He may be rearrested after meeting bail conditions Recall that the former national security adviser Sambo Dasuki was rearrested in 2015 after he was released on bail. His rearrest took place shortly after his release from the Kuje Prison in Abuja. If he meets his bail conditions, Kanu may also suffer same fate.

3. He may likely flout his bail conditions Kanu is one man is committed to the struggle for a Biafra Republic and he may just flout his bail conditions which are very strict. He cannot grant any press interview, he will not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons and if he flouts these orders, his bail will be revoked.


4. Biafra supporters may protest against his bail conditions Some are already condemning the bail conditions set by the judge, saying it is unacceptable. His supporters may just decide to take to the streets to show their grievances against the bail conditions.

Buhari goofed by arresting Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi was protesting in radio Biafra under Jonathan. In fact all the videos you people posted about him were done before buhari came to office.

By being so intolerant and wicked against Igbos, Buhari did what Nnamdi Kanu could not do which is UNITE BIAFRANS TO SUPPORT QUEST FOR INDEPENDENCE. Before Nnamdi Kanu arrest, talk of Biafran independence was almost laughable, today majority of people support independence of Biafra


Releasing Kanu now won't change anything. In fact, IPOB already adjusted it command structure to work very well without Nnamdi Kanu.
