Africans wake up!, We dont have to be the dumping ground of the world. We have accepted their fake diesel, their fake dress, their fake diets, their fake products, their fake gods, their fake customs, their fakes religions etc. And what has it done for us? Nothing. Enough is enough |

The West stands for its own interests only. It is up to other countries to do the same. But we all know the woeful leaders we have, so tough luck. |

Why are Africans importing diesel from Europe in the first place? Who has more oil? |

Capitalism is an offshoot of slavery. Whenever this sort of thing happens, its always the colonies that pay the price. This's why I argue slavery is still going on right now. The solution: The silver bullet is we need to discard the current system of education that creates elites who consider fellow Africans sub-human and would go ahead to import this type of diesel into west Africa without blinking an eye. Certainly, its not white people that are forcing us use such diesel, but we enslave ourselves using same when we have no governments, scientists, research institutions, working to solve our own problems. Worse is we have to wait for white man to tell us our diesel is bad!!. You see, this type of situation would continue, until we create a new form of education that trains the African mind to understand white people are not better than us and therefore don't deserve cleaner diesel than Africans. |

Biafran rebels were able to refine their own high grade diesel to run their equipment 50 years ago and in 2017, white people still sale dirty diesel to us for use in Nigeria and many still wonder why Nnamdi Kanu and his group are gaining popularity despite opposition from mainly Yoruba Muslims in the media who want to maintain the status quo. What is wrong with the black man? |

I keep saying this and I will say it again. We in Africa will never make any progress unless we break all friendly relations with the white man. I challenge anyone to give me an example any instant in history where working with the white man has helped Africa progress and develop. Also tell me one misfortune Africa has suffered that the white man has not profited from economically. If somebody keeps profiting from every misfortune that befalls you , you shouldn't have to be Einstein to realise that that person is very likely to be behind all your misfortunes. It is no good lamenting about our leaders we know they are useless, and they useless mainly because the same white man install them by propping up their stooges and eliminating African patriots that get into power. Question is what are we the enligtened masses going to start doing on a personal level to counter the white man's evil and allow Africa to develop? here are my suggestions: Boycott anything imported from the white imperialist countries, go for only locally produced goods from Nigerian owned companies or Nigerian cottage industries and ancient technology. Do not consume white man media, or local media that carries news and opinions from the white man's media - basically all our mainstream media is controlled by same white man, that is why they never tell us about this type of scandal unless the white man himself chooses for whatever reason to allow us to know about it. If we had a government truly independent of white man, we would simply completely ban all fuel imports, as harsh as that may be it would be tough but Nigerians would eventually adjust and the money saved from importing fuel could be used to build refineries and fix existing ones. But of course we know the white man would not allow that and their agents in the NAss will frustrate such policy. |

prettyboi1989:The government agency to create standards and enforce it are still living in stone age. Imagine SON's oil standard for petrol is regular unleaded while the standard for engine oil is API SD which anyone can import into the country. API SD are for cars made before 1979 and that is their standard. Their R& is comatose hence they should have kniwn that 90% of the cars on Nigerian roads are from the North American and so their standard should be our standard. All the Mack trucks are gone. Their rotors are all destroyed. Many diesel suvs are destroyed by the high sulphur content in the diesel and the agency is confused |

Indeed this not only applies to diesel; petrol import is even worse. |

logica:It's the same reason an overseas entity had to advocate for them pointing out the issue. They don't care about most economic, environmental or political unless they can tribalistic nonsense. Funny enough look at proceeding comments blaming whites / Europeans for their laws and under performance. |

Blue3k:I have know for ages that we get shortchanged with imported substandard fuel (just like practically everything we import); but the first time I heard the Oyinbos actually had a name for it - African Grade - was as a result of a report I read in an African magazine. So, I believe the move was initiated by Africans; but they know they cannot get results by calling African governments to action (who of course are in cahoot with the shady importers). So they decided to go the round-about way of involving the governments of Europe who are more accountable and who can get in trouble if the matter is blown wide open. |
