So why is the fuel price not yet N40 that Buhari and APC promised?
Why is dollar not back to N200?
Why are we still in recession?
Who is fooling who with these lies and propaganda?

That's as a result of lower expendable income and the a poorer middle class ...In the past I used burnt through 20 litres a night just to power my 10 KVA Honda gen but today due to slow business and less disposable income that 20 litres last me more than 2 weeks because I only use it to charge devices and keep the refrigerator iced ..I even stopped paying TV subscription all together because I am hardly at home and no one lives with me for now because of the slow economy l

I used to do between 10-20 ltrs(minimum of 70ltrs a week) @ 1500/3000 per day but that has dropped drastically to about 10 ltrs 4 times a week out of 7 days. When you calculate how much we burn on fuel, you'd almost go bonkers. I'm gradually learning how to stay without light. Sometimes, I feel ashamed when the houses in the next compound turn on their gen, and I do not. But then, those ones too, do not do more than 2hrs before switching off...lol.

The biggest form of corruption is nepotism. Stop or reduce nepotism and corruption will die slowly. Stop pursuing shadows in the name of fighting corruption. The country will be better for it.

OK mister. What is wrong in having greater local refining output, near zero subsidy regime or zero fuel queues? Must you bad-mouth for the heck of it?

The two wailers above should make up their minds already: are there long queues today or are filling stations free of queues because people are not able to buy petrol?

I thought by now we would have had a working refinery based on the subsidy saving...government of scam

From what I can deduce from this post, fuel importation only changed hands from NNPC to marketers and local consumption dropped due to economic difficulties; there isnt actually any improvement in our refining capacity, which is the only way that the petroleum sector will be self sustained.
most reasonable comment on here,,. not all this over grown babies fighting for one yeye party....pdp and apc are the same

who gives a fvck? reduced importation should translate to more money in the Nigerian treasury, which should also translate to food on Nigerian tables and more money in the masses' pockets. but ain't feeling those yet.

This news is no biggie. We still import same, but thru private importers instead of thru NNPC.

P.S. There is no queue anywhere (not one I know of) -- eat your heart out wailers.

won't fit into my current grueling schedules and long travel hauls besides I am a big guy and cramming into a tiny jap car will never happen

We are all not cut out to scratch the ground for a living. I am professionally employed. Fuel cost has seriously affected my budget but won't be a determining factor to close down shop, sell my car and start a chicken farm.

Possible way out:

1: Sell the V6
2: Buy a smaller functional car
3: Use the profit to start an agro business

Don't use recession (which has ended btw) as an excuse.

4. Become a marxist like 'me'.
5. Stuff your head in the ground like an ostrich and pretend we're living in a growing dynamic economy

Buhari working hard?
A president that now works from home
A vegetable president that even his family have to access to as he has been hijacked by the northern cabal
A president that put Nigeria into recession

The highest fuel I have bought at a go for any of my cars since May 2016 is 3k. Most times, it is 1k or 2k max! The day I calculated the fuel I spent on one of my jeeps in 2015 to be N440,000 on fuel alone was the time I decided something had to change. Now, no unnecessary movements. I do more of Skype meetings now rather than just drive all around town from office to office.

My lunch is either done at home or at the Area 3 food court. When I see some guys spending 3k to 5k on a single meal, I shudder. I have determined that food must be the least of my expenses.

There is no shame in cutting your expenses and spending more money on investments.
