N150K? meaning government is going to print a lot of money and inflation would become like it was in Zimbabwe before they disbanded their currency? huh

If them pay workers 150k, how business people , traders and artisans go make their money. I hope they will not increase their profit and Labour charge very high , which will make us go back to square one I think the best is for government to provide necessary infrastructure and enabling business environment which should translate to affordable living cost.

This guy is dumb no offense.

The problem of nigeria is not wage increment but annual increase in inflation.

Tackle inflation and not compound our problems.

When you collect 150 thousand and petrol increased from 150 to 750 or rice from 500 to 5000, what difference would it make?

Just talking political nonsense upandan
intelligent observation.

Well said but...

People should watch dis man closely. His sweet mouth may be his decision to contest for a political office. I doubt an average Nigerian politician would have the welfare of people in his heart to deserve being paid such amount.

this is just the bitter truth, Nigeria can afford that, but due to the fact that the rate of dependency will be reduced and most political officials and the so called big men will lose some of there loyal "servant " due to the high pay will make this agitation not to see the light of the day.

Coming from a member of the Nigerian Senate, this is quite encouraging. Maybe it is not all doom and gloom afterall. sad
Re: Shehu Sani: Workers Deserve N150,000 Per Month, N18k Can't Feed Politician's Dog by mofebosola(m): 5:42pm On May 01, 2017
This can only be possible if our legislators at State and Federal levels decide to shed some weight from their stupendous salaries and allowances. Or what's the sanity in it paying so much to legislators when the goose that lay the golden egg is starved! Shehu Sanni should start this campaign from the floor of the Senate when next they convene if he truly means what he's saying.

NnamdiiKanu:

Workers deserve 10 naira per month

If you're dumb enough to vote for a 90 year old donkey's for change, you don't deserve more than 20 naira as your salary

You wanted change ?? Enjoy the change you voted for
grin grin tongue

intelligent observation.
no,
Its common sense which our politicians don't have.

In early 2000, ( nigerian minimum wage is around 3000 naira and a cup garri is around 5-10 naira)
A cup of garri was expensive those period because those earning 3000 couldn't afford to be paying 10 naira for a cup of garri.

Instead of dumb politicians to find a way of reducing inflation so those who earn 3000 can purchase garri at 1 naira per cup and not increase the problem of non government workers, they kept increasing minimum wage while inflation is also catching up to the increment, thereby creating more poverty for the masses who don't work for the government.

Now minimum wage is 18000 and a cup of garri is 40-50 naira per cup. Did you see the mathematical correlation?

Senators deserve only N500,000 maximum.
Can Shehu Sanni lead other senators to REDUCE their salaries?
If he can't, please tell me why we should take him serious?
He is just another joker out to fool us.
500k is too much self 100k is better,
the senate and house of rep post is too attractive and the salaries need to be reduce,so that only people who want to serve shall go there

If Sani and his fellow lawmakers in the NAss will stop paying themselves N170m per month, I am sure Nigeria would be able to find the funds to pay workers N150k per month.
