Hello mamas

We congratulate all our sharp sharp May mama, giving us back2back delivery. We pray thus

Baarakallaahu laka fil-mawhoobi laka, wa shakartal-waahiba , wa balagha 'ashuddahu, wa ruziqta birrahu.

May God bless you with His gift to you , and may you (the new parent) give thanks, may the child reach the maturity of years , and may you be granted its righteousness .

To the pushing mamas, we pray the remainining period will be stressfree.

#TeamAugust, How are we copping with the growing belle? A few of us most have entered 3rd trimester while the others are approaching it.
So let's make good use of this time to do most, if not all of our shopping. I pray God will make provision financially and physically. He will continue to make the journey easy for us.

I believe our ANC Classes are interactive. I hope we are enjoying meeting with other belleful mamas over there. By now, many of us most have taken our 2nd TT (and 2nd IPV). Please, let us create a reminder for the 3rd TT (6 months after 2nd TT) because most of us will be busy with our baby by then and its possible we will not remember (As most mama doesn't go for it). I pray God will continue to strengthen us and help us all to carry to term with easy delivery.

How are we feeling about our lo jumping up and down, building mansion in our womb? How are we copying with our showing bumps? Most of us will find it difficult to do most of our daily routine that requires bending.Lets take it easy and seek for help where needed. May we not labour in vain. We shall reap the good fruit of our labour.

May roll call for #TeamAugust.

Looool, na so e dey be. What formula do you use? Abi you went to buy Aptamil? I stuck with the Nan they told me to buy in the hospital, as flow increased we reduced from 1 tin a week to 1 tin for 2 weeks. Now that I've resumed I express at work so they alternate for him.

I'm horrified, they look so cute but mehhhhhn.... Maid palava, is one thing, the pregnancy journey, birth and raising the children is another. I told hubs I would like to have twin girls if only I can sleep and wake up and they are already 5 years old. If you know how scared I am of getting pregnant before I'm ready ehn

Giddyperson:

I think mine is flowing normal now but I'm so scared to announce it at home cuz I've been spoilt by formula, don't think I can do exclusive breastfeeding again Jare, formula is expensive tho, the ijebu woman in me can't deal. I saw this pic on insta, how many nannies do you think their mum has? 3 sets of boy twins and a girl, the picture screams birth control

Please where do you place the bath? on a table? or you sit down to bathe him? if you seat does it hurt your back? (I've suddenly forgotten how to use seat & sit so if I'm wrong just manage am biko)

jazzyjazz:

Itching means it's healing. Abeg avoid the temptation to scratch it o! I know say e de sweet. But don't dare.

Ilan used to cry during bath time when he was born but since he was 2 months old, the boy de play inside water. Now that he can sit, we got him a bath set that has a seat with back rest so he chills there and I put warm water to his belly level and he will just be kicking the water upandan, screaming and messing everywhere up.

Ur boy no de cry now because he's not fully alert yet. Just relax. Once he's aware of everything and starts babbling gibberish, na you go beg am to keep quiet. Ilan wakes up at 4am and he will be staring at you with those cute brown eyes waiting for you to make a funny face so he can scream. Lol. If you don't do it, na cry.

Right now we're on the bed, talking gibberish while he is scratching my face (thank God I cut his nails)
In fact he has started struggling with my phone.

It's still NAN I'm using o, that's to show you how Ijebu I am, I'm buying two a week tho I'm planning to start expressing more so that we can use less formula. Aptamil ko cheesy

Having experienced one baby I now know for sure that if never want twins. If they are anywhere in my genes, I rebuke them right now cheesy one at a time please. I'd like to be godmother to them tho

I've attached a photo of the one I have

Initially I bought the one that came with bucket (the foreign one) then one day I and dh were in spar to buy some stuff for the house and we saw this one. It come like this with no extra buckets and it was like 1,300 naira

I keep it on the floor to bath him. I then put him to sit and rest his back. I fill it half way with warm water, I sit there and watch him play. When I feel he's had enough I bath him.
The only downside which I actually don't really see as a downside is that when you're bathing the baby, it will get slipperry cos of soap. And the child will slide down which is not safe for a much younger baby. But what I do is, when I scrub his front side, I lift him up, scrub the back, then I rinse the soap off him. I then rinse the soap off the side where he rests his back that way when you put him back to sit it won't be slippery.
Hope I'm making sense

And yes I sit down to bathe him. Well it doesn't hurt that much. Just small grin

As for lactating I started day 3. I took so much tea and pap till my brain started swimming in my head. Also took mother's milk tea but I don't know where you can buy that one. Also put the baby to breast so she can suck it out grin

Alright, I will start with pap first

Congrats on the little one! For many babies it's off by the end of week one but could take longer!
Just ensure it well cleaned with meth spirit! Watch out for smells or any oozing liquid/pus! It should seem like it's drying.

Don't wrap it oh! Avoid covering with diaper as much as possible. Massage with hot water and towel at bath times too

BIRTH STORY!

I started having period like cramps from 6pm yesterday then at 8pm hubby noticed the cramps was 20mins apart and told me it was contraction. Me I didn't even know sef! So at 10pm it started being kind of painful until I had to tell my hubby let's go to the hospital maybe the doctors will give me pain medication so we can come back but on getting to the hospital the doctor examined me and said I was 2cm gone so the nurse told me to just wait by 11pm I was progressing so they told hubby to go and bring hospital bag. Was even surprised sef cos I thought we would go back home that night. The contraction became more frequent around 1am, I will tell my hubby rub my waist and later I will say leave it who send you undecided I even went naked and he tried to cover me up na so I fling the cloth and by past 2am I felt as if something was pushing me. I was just shouting nurse something is pushing me, she no believe she said let her just examine me all for her to shout doctor see baby's head and I was told to push and in 3pushes baby came out crying couldn't even hold her cos I was bleeding eh. The nurses was even surprised that for a first baby it was that easy for me. Only for the devil to show his ugly head, I started bleeding seriously and the doctor said it must have been a cervical tear, they had to call the gynaecologist. Inshort, I now know there is just a thin line between Life and death. We just have to live right each day. Mamas I saw stars! I thank God for putting the devil to shame and saving me. He gave me victory and I give Him all the glory. My baby's name is Osarieme meaning na God give me. (Edo state)

I thank all mamas who answered all my reasonable and unreasonable questions. May God bless you pipo! I hope I meet you in 2018 for another missionary journey but with triplet grin E-hugs! kiss

And to all my teamies and all June to December mamas, kiss kiss safe delivery!

Wow, the devil has truly failed. What a lovely name, na God give you truly.may your joy be permanent
