It happened in kubwa after NYSC junction , 7 of dem died on the spot .. They were coming back from the club 4am drunk .. FRSC go and remove the car pls, it's causing a scene there..

That was the same way some students of EKSU lost their lives about two years ago due to drunk driving after a nice time at club

There's a big difference between drink driving and drunk driving, but many of these guys don't understand that. Experienced drinkers NEVER get drunk to the point of losing their minds, and if by chance they approach drunkenness, they know better than to dare to drive. If you're drunk driving, you're not in control. Your life dey for outside, and na only miracle fit bring am back inside your body.

For the Abuja 4, the guy in the driver's seat was probably not an experienced/good drinker, otherwise he would know better. It's dangerous to be an occasional (weekend-only) drinker and yet drink heavily beyond your 'gauge', and yet drive in that condition.

Some of us and many of my rugged friends drink almost everyday and have done so for years. Consequently, we have mastered the art of recognising our maximum tolerance levels/ thresholds and driving normally regardless of how much we drink. Hardened alcohol experts never get carried away by the mumu excitement of the occasional bottles of JD or Henny in a club and then drive themselves into a ditch. Never. All these inexperienced small boys are guilty of that, and that's what explains this kind of unfortunate outcome.

Tip for all jolly men who happen to drive:

1. Do not ever try to drive after consuming large amounts of alcohol if you're an occasional drinker. It's better to drink a couple of beers or a few tots of spirit almost daily, to get your body gradually accustomed to the effect and to gradually increase your tolerance level. Then with time, your mind would be trained to have the same level of alertness when driving, whether you drink or not.

2. If you're the mostly beer guy and only drink spirits when you're in a club once in a while, it will be suicidal to guzzle up large amounts of spirits on a random club night and then attempt to drive home afterwards. Chances of you exceeding your tolerance level are very very high. Getting used to spirits is an art and a science on its own. Never drive if you're not a regular spirit drinker and you happened to take a lot of it on a particular night out. Otherwise, the cold arms of death would be waiting to embrace you on the lonely road.

3. Unless you're a very experienced and ogbologbo drinker, never ever mix beer and spirits in your system, like after taking some bottles of beer in one garden, you then head to a club or lounge and run into some 'turn up' friends who 'scatter table' with bottles of JD and then you decide to join in the awoof. The effect on your body is often brutal. If you must do this, then I hope you're not driving afterwards.

I was @d police station early in the morning spoke to some Police officers they told me they just left a popular club in kubwa. That non survived I even saw one of the victims younger brother. As @d time he hasn't been told yet.

Honestly the entire police station was cold and dark and mourning the death of this young men and women. Especially women officers, They felt it as if...

There were two girls actually. One of the victims was thrown out of the car and he hit his head on the bridge. His brains splashed all over the place.
The engine of the car also pulled out. Road safety officers had to use axe to cut the vehicle before they could remove the mangled body of the driver.
The sight was gory.

so sad news.rest in peace.honestly driving in nina is so scary.accident on a daily basis.i could say that lots of people dosent go to driving school and thats why.last year december i came to nija and bought a car for my mobility purposes.im i was afraid to drive from lagos to onitsha because of the way i could see people drive.then i paid someone 30k just to drive me to onitsha then i will continue home.the car i bought was manual gear because thats what i am used to drive overseas.i saw hell on the way my driver was driving,changing d gear so late,using the wrong gear,the way he overtake .then my life became even more in danger.then i ask him to stop somewhere in ijebuode without him knowing my intention.then i took over the car and he was surprise.before i could knew it,I'm in ore.next benin,agbo,asaba without even feeling i have drove and i enjoyed it.my advice for people oversees that has drivers license please drive yourself,you are more safe by that.

it's obvious the driver was over speeding, same thing almost happened yesterday on my way home, same ride but younger guys, it was a new ride and they were feeling the vibes, was in a hurry home so they thought it would be fun to race me,almost got themselves killed over nothing!!!! rip to the dead.

Lost a friend in that crash, Nelson Akan, so long...
Please we should avoid driving when tipsy, it could have been avoided.
