I guess your husband was ready financially, he was just waiting for the right woman, I guess why this rarely happen or should I say why it seems surprising to most people is that people expect one to be in a relationship forever before marriage happens, but what we don't know or fail to acknowledge is that most times it is due to financial constraint.

Is that really what you perceive from these photos.... I actually see 2 strangers, very uncomfortable, getting married to a stranger. No hint of care, warm connection.
But hey, that's just me.

Commitment phobe? . I hear you. Knowing what I know ngomtshato now I probably wouldn't, but before I think i would have , I fall in love as easily as i fall out of it plus I'm quite impulsive by nature.
