Festus Odimegwu

The incompetent flatskull ran NB Plc like his local drunkards union before he was kicked out. Later, he was appointed head of the National Population Commision and his innate blunders made them kick him out again.

Why are they giving out our jobs to foreigners?
I doubt you're interested in doing this, but if you research the owners/shareholders of 'Nigerian' Breweries you'll find that they're not Nigerians, but Europeans who have operated under the auspices of being 'Nigerian' to give the impression of being a domestic company, and by extension be patronised by the Nigerian mass market.

When you take this into account, it becomes clearer why Nigerians will be less likely to occupy such senior managerial positions. They're often considered inferior vis-à-vis European candidates.

I can produce a long list of 'Nigerian' companies that are foreign-owned

The retiring MD/CEO earned N255 million in 2016, this does not include pension, allowances, certain benefits and privileges. This information can be found in the current annual report of Nigeria Brewery Plc.

Since the Cadbury scandal involving the Nigerian ceo, Mr ***** ***. Top jobs in most multinational coys in this country are reserved for expatriates.

The logic doesn't work as there are capable Nigerians that can manage it. Banks earn more profit than Breweries and they are managed by Nigerians.

But if we really speak against giving job to foreigners, then we should respect America and other develop countries that give lots of job to foreigners and top management positions. There is a university in Missouri that just made a Nigerian the president in the midst of white communities. Sometimes, I think blacks are more racist

I suggested they name it Oyinbo breweries. Nigeria will grow by the year 2040

I didn't see the US giving out top jobs in multinational companies to foreigners after the Haliburton scandal

That was Festus Odimegwu, I was at the AGM in 2006 when shareholders forced him to resign.
The best Nigerian MD/CEO of Nigeria Brewery is Felix Ohiweri

Hmmn.
This is quite revealing. So you mean we are basically living a lie with respect to our so called indigenous markets? Kindly go ahead with the bolded part please.

So much that Heineken N.V(Majority shareholders)have more or less officially banned Nigerians from MD and CFO role shocked huh undecided cry

Also, both past and incoming MD are Heineken NV staff simply on transfer within the global business.

On a personal note he could "afford" to run for Governor in his state after NBPlc wink angry
It is simply not fair (business wise) on Nigeria & Nigerians. This is one of the reasons Donald Trump is crying out that the Chinese are taking over their jobs, and it is not even half as bad over there as it is here.

You didn't know that 'Nigerian' Breweries is 37% owned by Heineken? The Nigerians involved just collect their dividends.
Just knowing that today, but that doesn't justify the monopolization of the top management positions by Europeans against the interest of Nigerians.

They are the largest single shareholders and they're the ones with the technical expertise.

Besides, their primary function is to make money.

I don't think we should attack them but rather question Nigerians who refuse to put their money/intelligence to good use to build viable competition.

There are many Nigerian brands that are being run efficiently, like Globacom, Dangote, Channels TV, PUNCH, etc

Heineken and her proxies own 65% of the company. That is why the MD, Marketing Director, Finance Director, Production Director and top management are Dutch.

The Dutch increased their holdings from about 50% in 2006 to 70% in 2016

While Nigerian shareholders were selling their shares the foreigners were busy increasing their holdings

Investors are not sentimental, they are concerned about ROi. If a Nigerian will give them the required return fine and if it is a foreigner say be it.

Their is a Nigerian top management staff of Dangote Industries named Olakunle Alake, the guy is on the board of all Dangote companies, other trusted members are foreigners and close family members who are also successful business people
