This is a move by Trump to disrupt the Russia probe,
the new Attorney general will be recruited for one purpose,
that is to shield Trump from investigation and go after his
enemies.
But with the US robust check and balances, I expect
this like most of Trump's plan to fail.

Truth is... Comey or not, evidence is evidence....so far none has been produced. Democrats (Waters esp.) work from conclusion to a premise. Trump colluded with Russia is truth, we'll just find evidence to back it up. Whereas it should be evidence leading to conclusion

If Comey had anything he would have brought it out long ago. Hillary had his feet on so much fire that he would have played that card.

I guess, you meant to say...'the new FBI Director' there. The truth is, there is currently no check and balance in the USA for now. So, Trump can truly do anything he wants.

The mid-team election next year will be a deciding one. If the Democrats are able to take the House, which is more likely; there will be a very very little check and he might be impeached, however he will not be convicted, since the chances of the Democrats getting the Senate is slim during the mid-team election. For the Democrats to take the Senate, it will have to be a complete wipe out and if they do; then we will have a real check and balance.

If the above happened, Trump will be essentially reduced to a figure head President, only signing and Executive Orders, which will get challenged and stopped at the lower courts, and before they walk their way to the Supreme Court, where Trump will have a favorable hearing, time would have passed.

It is also very possible he gets two terms, but if the Trumpcare bill become law and the elderly start seeing their insurance rates go up; he is done. Even as it is right now, except the states start some more vote disenfranchisement, getting a second term will be difficulty.

The truth is, within the next 8 years, the USA will self-correct and most of the current players will be in jail, because the next Democratic administration might probe this administration.

Trump fired him at the wrong time, not when the FBI is in the middle of an investigation into his potential collusion with Russia in influencing the last US election.

It all smells fishy to me. Trump's claim that he fired Comey because of Comey's handling of the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server is utterly laughable.

Well in all fairness to him, the Deputy Attorney General just got confirmed, in fact the Senate (the democrats majorly) have delayed most of Trumps appointees, this time with Obama over 70% of all nominees had been confirmed. The recommendation for Comey sack was written by the Ag. forwarded to Jeff Sessions and endorsed by Trump, so technically the delay could be as a result of this.

Anywho i agree sha that the diplomatic way would have been to discontinue his tenure in January when Trump assumed office, but regardless the public has lost confidence in Comey anyway, this was bound to happen.
I trust the Democrats will use this to their advantage, funny that Chuck Schumer who was calling for Comey's removal is now protesting the same.
