Under which construction? Have u been there? The only thing sembling construction work there is a few iron workers twisting binding wires since Napoleon's first invasion.
That's because they have to fix the flyover there first.. Then they will move to the road gan gan. C'mon guy, do you know how construction works?

This isn't about defending anything. It takes administrative INGENUITY to increase IGR of a state from a patry few hundreds of millions a year around 2010, to its current N72.0-billion as at 2016. And when you say Ogun state lacks infrastructure, where exactly?? We are talking about 3 senatorial district of a landmass of over 16,000 km sq. Look at the following data of registered phonelines below that gives a ballpark population of each state.
Ogun state can even do better than that if they step up their revenue drive. A lot of people live in Ogun state and work in Lagos. They pay PAYE to Lagos. If Ogun state state step up the level of infrastructure in those residential areas like ota, mowe, magboro, ibafo etc the people will see reasons to ask their employers to remit their taxes to Ogun. The law of PAYE is based on the place of residence not where you work.

I'm done talking. I don't blame you cos you don't stay there. If you did, you see and witness first hand the suffering of people there. Till then, have a good day.

You should know these are doctored figures from the west.

Imagine Rivers has been 80 something since 2014 and Ogun that was around 17 or there about has all of a suden moved to 72.
Does that make sense to you?

Kwara generated 11 billion? I'm impressed. I'm sure Saraki factor won't allow that to be fully utilized. Chop chop !
Are the billions generated by Lagos plus loans and allocation also FULLY utilised?
Is it the Tinubu factor that won't allow it to be fully utilised?
Ordinary clean water is not available in Lagos state.
Even light rail has become a channel for stealing Lagos people's money with forever postponement since 2010.

Let's divide these reported annual figures by 12, the answers will reveal why many of the states are constantly unable to meet their monthly wage bill alone not to talk of other responsibilities. Can we outsource the overwhelmed states, or demote them to LGAs?

How is IGR helping the state economy when the fake comrade was shouting Go and Die on widows, pensioners, jobless youths instead of using the IGR, allocation and loans to build enough public schools with adequate qualified teachers and equipment for all children in the state?
Are you saying that the Western Union from Italy is what gives you the IGR and is the reason why Edo is always among the top 10 in all sectors of the economy?

5 South South states are in the top 11.
1. Lagos
2. Rivers
3. Ogun
4. Delta
5. Kano
6. Akwa Ibom
7. Edo
8. Oyo
9. Kwara
10. Kaduna
11. Cross River

The SE is is doing terribly in IGR. Ogun state witnessed an impressive increase. Same as Kano.
How can you say SE is doing terribly when they are the ones DEVELOPING all these states listed above?
If you want your state IGR to increase, just welcome more DEVELOPERS to your state.

Meanwhile I see all the billions alright but what visible impact can you see on ground in our various state? Honest assessment please

NCAN, Lagos developers, what's going on here?

State checked!
Lol. Ebonyi has not released their IGR for the past three years.

But for Enugu, the governor has a lot to answer. There is no explanation to why the IGR should drop to 14billion from 19billion unless the state didn't submit their 2016 last quarter IGR.

Don't even go there guy. Rivers an Oil Rich state is grossly underperforming relative to Ogun abeg, that's nothing but the truth. FG admitted owing Ogun state a Whooping N220-billion naira for fixing federal roads, out of the total N580.5-billion owed states of the federation ( https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/03/23/fg-owes-states-n580-5bn-for-roads-rehabilitation/ ). Considering its larger size, lower allocation, and population, its IGR is still grossly inadequate to meet its needs relative to Rivers. For a state with lesser resources and that serves as the gateway into the country's commercial nerve-centre from every other part of the country, give it due credit abeg. Bad-belle dey run belle.
nice one, even thou I don't support Amosun that much...this is administrative ingenuity from the government ...now let's think of what will happen if some southwest states like Ogun and Lagos finally commence oil exploration...the massive multiplier effect it will have on their real sectors

I am highly impressed by Enugu State's 14.2 billion Naira revenue in 2016, despite the tough economy in Nigeria. This means that Gov. Ugwuanyi has continued to build on Chime's foundation. We've got good administrators no doubt. I would like the state government to double that figure in the next 5 -7 years. 042, ndi oma, ndi oma!!
Guy, gburugburu failed here. He met an IGR of 20billion and in less than 2years he reported 14billion. He has a lot of questions to answer. I will only accept that figure if he tells us that the state didn't submit the last quarter report for the year in question.

As expected.

No surprises from Lagos and Ogun. One thing I'm so happy for as regards Ogun is the fact that her development is very organic

Good one for Oyo for improving on 2015. Ondo and Osun neither progressing nor regressing.

As for Ekiti, Ponmodele Ponmoyose is their governor. IGR is no big deal over there. Their own IGR is Ponmo and Bokoto

Rivers needs to make her revenue less oil-dependent but good one for her regardless. Delta is regressing. We all saw it coming anyway. I was surprised Ogun caught up so quick tho

I'm impressed with Akwa Ibom but she has the same problem as Rivers

Kano is doing well. Organic development!!

For Kaduna, El rufai's Magic wands seem to be doing wonders

Impressed with some other Northern States as well knowing how much damage Boko haram caused

I never really expected much from the Potopoto hamlets tbh. Enugu that has always been their local yampion regressed so I expect Anambra to topple her

Edo state, from one of the poorest states in the Federation, has emerged from the Governorship of Oshiomole, as among the most thriving states in the country. It is one of the few states that can survive without federal allocations. I doubt if your states can boast of this. Check our the indices on goggle
