People are different and they think differently. Don't try to castigate anybody because of his/her opinion. We all pray PTDF award scholarship this year, but should it happen they don't, life goes on. That's my point.

Today the Senate receives 2017 Budget report from the Joint Committee on Appropriation & Finance of the 2 Chambers of the NA, fixes Thursday for passage. Let them pass the 2017 Appropriation Bill come Thursday, 11th May so that Gov't will work. As we all know, a lot of things are stalled as a result of not passing the 2017 budget including this PTDF as speculated by insiders. Let's hope & pray things work out well for us all in the few weeks ahead. Remain blessed

Guys this info may be of help... I was at Flexisaf edusoft Garki office yesterday, they manage portal for the school where I teach. So i asked about some hints about the test style... I got to know that flexisaf isnt setting any questions, dat PTDF has a group of people that do the job for them eg university lecturers and their past scholars. PTDF will then give them the questions to upload on their server, and manage the portal for them. He adviced that I should just study random but relevant stuff from anywhere I can lay my hands. I believe someone in the house can help me get an idea of energy economics and technology questions. Everything im seeing online is not looking easy at all. my email is adeebun91@gmail.com. Pls help I beg. I studied electrical, I dont know if the questions will be same for everybody.

If you studied Electrical, why don't you write Energy Systems/Renewable Energy....that will be easier for an Electrical graduate.

You say everything you are seeing online is not easy. What do you mean by that? Did you get hints on some questions? And again what about the examination date?

1.There are no recent past questions for the examination in public domain. PTDF has no fixed pattern per se. Questions change always especially for the subject specific areas.The examiners are Professionals. Study smart.
2.The examination is very competitive. Little things matter and can swing the tide in your favour.
3.No option is easy as you think.Focus on your area. The questions are usually simple ( not hard) but can be tricky. Sometimes, the question types can be loop -sided. For example, Petroleum engineering will just focus on thermal enhanced oil recovery methods, Renewables on biofuels, Design of rotating machines on Welding, Environmental engineering on TLVs etc.
4. Most states are very competitive. So people score very high and they do not make it for this reason.
5. Group the various areas into many smaller groups.Then , you can have an idea of where you fall under and the questions you will likely answer.
6.I'm not sure the budget had too much to do with the delay. There's some internal restructuring going on in PTDF. Some people were sacked because of corruption.
7. PhD hopefuls like us need to just be at their best. Very competitive selection process.
8.Pray and ask God to crown your effort with success. Many people need this as you do too. Something has to tilt the balance in your favour.

I hope this helps someone. I compiled these information from some past scholars, members of the internal caucus of ptdf and from people who have attempted the exams previously. Cheers
