I just got a teaching job and am confused due to what the appointment letter says, that I will be paid 22k. Please what is your say on this, should I accept it having in mind that am also going to pay for accommodation myself due to distance from my place is far and I don't like staying at home. Thanks

Since you can't venture into something creative, my advise is to go for the offer. If you refuse it many people will gladly accept. My advise would be for you to save from that money and setup a biz.

If this can make front page it would be nice. Others can enlighten him.

How much can he possibly save? unless the school is close and he won't be paying for accommodation, he cant save a shit.

Accept the job, not to actually save but to have a place to go every morning just pending the time you get a good invitation from a reputable firm.
You might even meet helper from there.

Look around for accommodation, maybe you can find someone to Scut. Because of Nigeria situation, ur salary is small

Am not expecting him to rent a house...He can squat with a friend for now. Here in Ibadan people can survive on that salary. Anyways my advise is he mange it and save even if it is 5k monthly its sumtin.

Ibadan things are cheap he will surely survive. better still since he is a graduate he can try online biz. Am into online biz (fiverr) fully, no offline job(s). Which state?

Ask the management if there are other benefits like extra lessons etc. Cos that can boost the income

Look at it this way; you applied for this job and now you have been given your employment letter.

Congratulations

Now this is part of growing up.

You will have to START with that salary.

When you're in the school, network with the other teachers there.

You'll find out how they're creating more income streams.

Please let us know when you complete your first day in the school.
