Im scared that if one day i happen to have kids out of wedlock or through some circumstance i have to marry a new wife that she would maltreat my kids. I fear step mothers after seeing what one did to a friend of mine. Everytime his dad would send provisions and money she would not give it to him. Reached a point his dad travelled out when we were supposed to go home (holidays) and she did not come and pick the poor boy. D guy stayed a whole sessiin in school without provisions. Reached a point d guy had to carry needle around to mend his singlets and clothes. Any new thing he got was from us fellow students contributing. Till this day i respect my fellow students in sec school for helping to take care of my guy. Band of brothers we were. Thankfully now he is in his final year in uni and i really pray for him to b blessed.

3 children have been rescued, after they were reportedly locked up in a room by their step-mother to starve to death. It is alleged that this occurred after the children's dad, traveled out of the state for an event.

It was gathered that the children regained their freedom, after some neighbours who got to know about the incident rescued them from their step-mother. The Kano State Police Command has already stepped into the case.

Men have done as much damage too. No need to attack a single gender. Yes a step dad may rush to pick a step daughter because he uses her as a sex slave when Mom isn't looking but people looking at it from outside would think he came because he was a good step dad. We read online how men have been killing, beating and molesting their kids and step kids too. It may be common in women because step kids living in homes are mostly from the men. Otherwise, men when in position of being step parents also frequently abuse the kids even their Very own.
