One would have thought given your personal stance, you would have shared the same sentiment on the other post rather than benchmark it on ideology or perception of the parties involved.

Fact, everyone is different, but if we are to look at it from that angle, wouldnt that mean they are in a better position to advise themselves since no one knows them better than themselves.


Okay see, lets see. You decide to have sex at first date, it goes wrong, for a female that would hurt like you committed to something before it began. You do and it goes well either way you are going to have se even after the first date. So why the rush since one cannot read minds to ascertain one's motive.

Plus this is not about morals or religious inclination seeing as sex before marriage is wrong under such tenets, but for the fact it's the smart way else you wouldn't have tagged it 'casual' sex.

Everyone is different as per I can give advice without necessarily imposing whatever my personal values are on people. Sort of like how counsellors as supposed to be neutral and don’t involve their own values when it comes to patients

For females, I think it’s more a concern for how they’ll be viewed since they have more to lose socially, than about committing too fast. Yeah the sex can always happen later but sometimes unplanned things happen, that’s life.

Even if you do plan it, some people are willing to go through with it and take the gamble on how the person will react, or don’t care etc. We ask a lot of ‘why not just do this?’ questions but life isn’t always that simple

I thought we have struck out that imposing part? It's not like you are forcing him/her to take your advice.
I shall present a true story that invalidates such logic on another post.

You make it sound like life forces us to make certain choices, whereas, the choices we made are a result of what we get in life. Perhaps we need to cultivate and preach the habit of thinking from the end to the beginning than making excuses on life, especially in this context you are bringing it. The fact you made a choice to go ahead with it doesn't seem unplanned to me.

Which furthers my point above,that they are willing to go ahead with it they should own up to the consequences and not blame life. Perhaps the more reason why giving such advice to them is a reminder that the consequences will come not exempting whatever personal values one may have.

On why life isn't always that simple, I shall address that on a different post.

I wasn't equating it to that, I was faulting the premise of the imposing part. My write up got wiped hence I failed to include it went on for four years.

Naively idealist? Am just of the opinion certain things can be avoidable if we get more personal than saying the bare minimum. I know life can be messed up, true, but involving one's personal view can be all the person needs to escape the fall.

I dunno I drop the issue now.
