Well me am not an introvert but I do stutter when I talk especially when neverous. This has forced me to be introverted, Omo I don't just go for interviews and I have settled for a very low paying job. Most ppl see me as forming but am not. Coupled with the fact my aspirations are far higher than my colleagues. I always have nothing meaningful to contribute to their discussion.

It isn't exactly a bad thing that you had to stop working at this place. I am aware most people in Nigeria would do any job at all cost due to the massive unemployment figures there. However, you have to come to terms with the fact that the employers try to pick a best fit for their organisation, for example: a company in a hugely extroverted field(or industry) would require extrovert employees and vice versa.

Everyone is Unique, more especially as an introvert, you would have a heightened awareness of this fact and generate strength from it. Extroverts on the other hand, would try to blend in with other extroverts to appear stronger. If such is the case, then potential employees, irrespective of their characteristic disposition, should as well endeavour to pick the best organisations to work with/for that suit their personalities. In other words, If you don't find an organisation culture to be in line with your ideals or professional conduct, you shouldn't work there in the first place. Your skills are yours to keep and should only be deployed to a project you deem deserving of your contribution, and that would benefit from same.

In civilized society, organisation culture is usually dictated by the industry. Therefore young people would usually be advised to pursue specific career routes where their personalities would be most relevant. For most introverts, specific fields stand out, most of which would be creativity or proprietary related, this is due mostly to the complexity of their thought process. I wish I could tell you more but this whole page would not be enough.

was running a partnership business with a colleague and friend until recently when we decided to dissolve the deal.. He is always complaining i don't communicate. He challenged me that i don't share my family, relationship matters with him whereas he's always telling everyone about his and that has been given him an impression that am an enemy in disguise. I just told him that it's my nature not be be talking always.. God knows best

I agree everyone in the world cannot be made to fit into a box of 16 but overall I found it quite accurate.

This is so me. I'm pretty certain any organization i work for in my field will never regret employing me but to get the employment na wahala. Direct recommendation might be the simplest way out for people like us.

It's not as if they don't interact at all, dey do it only wen dey NEED (not want) 2. Eg. While searching 4 a place new 2 dem dey'll NEED 2 ask or in school wen dey nid to understand somtin clearly nd nid 2 ask a teacher.
A job is somtin very important so I don't tink it would b dat dificult. D fact dat dey nid it helps 2 dilute dat anti-social spirit in dem

Tips for all introverts:

Go to gatherings: bar, restaurant, cinema...etc alone and fit into discussions. Do less of internet chatting. Insist on meeting after a couple of chats...Be real, nice and don't always say yes just because every other person says so! Feel free to shout....you follow get this world!
If u r married, do more of outdoors with spouse than indoors.

Remember, being an introvert is not a crime or disease. They can be fun to be with.....

Being an introvert doesn't mean you can't have strong social skills, the only difference is you choose when and when not to use those skills.

You would naturally prefer not being in large gatherings but if you have to be there, you can carry on a conversation and hold your own. The same applies to interviews. You can be introverted and confident, let's not start using being introverted as an excuse for shyness or a lack of confidence.

Introvert-ism is not the same as shyness, I think people tend to mix the two up.

Its really tough trying to lick asses/famz someone especially when its not part of you.

I find it sick and sometimes ask myself why can't I do it to atleast to save me or keep me in good terms with the 'superiors'/ 'privileged'? But unfortunately i flop big time at it and always turn out to be the evil/bad person.

Being straightforward sometimes is a disadvantage.... always at your own peril.

Being an introvert isn't really a bad thing, it keeps you away from trouble and hierecy. Am an introvert yet communicate effectively with people. Its really about you. The way you perceive people and situations around you really is up-to you.

And the funniest part is it's always showing on my face dat am an introvert... Even wen am trying to hide it... But wen am with my friends and family am a troublemaker...i can only be free with som1 I ve full trust for...

The test is accurate for me too, and I'm a proponent. It makes a lot more sense than astrology/zodiac (which I consider very silly).

It's all about finding your comfort zone

What gets you relaxed before an interview?
What gets you excited and passionate about a job?

Sometimes, one might make mistakes or get nervous...but if you can respond in ways they see your zeal for the job, your background knowledge, or attitude to learn

Those are things that might get them a bit easy

But, what I do appreciate is when those interviewing on a panel understand the situation and try to make you calm and relaxed...cz they want to get the best out of you

honestly, it is not wrong. In my case, i am also an emotional person. It help me greatly to resolve issues despite being regarded as a simpleton. For instance, managing anger issue with my boss.. anytime he flared up, i am always cool..

Try and take tramadol when you feel nervous...

It is a strong pain reliever but also has this calming and soothing effect. You might sleep on too often if you're not mentally strong sha.

Hmm, true. Now that I think about it, the extroverts I know even when they are talking nonsense, they confidently do so, lol.
So yes most extroverts are certainly not shy, but doesn't mean introverts are always shy.

Being an introvert should not completely affect your social life or your hustle. you may not do it like the extroverts but it shouldn't stop you from doing it. for me, the only challenge I have is the wrong impression some colleagues have about me probably because they have not come close enough to know me. I like my space, i'm not the type that greets people 20 times a day and if we don't have eye contact, I won't bother greeting you. a lot of people misunderstand that. it has affected my relationship some how with some colleagues but hey, this is who I am. it has got nothing to do with pride. I was made like this.
