Please house. I need clarification on certificate evaluation. My msc transcript is ready in school, am I to get a student copy and send it to WES for evaluation or I send it through my skool?. Also am I to evaluate only my msc degree or evaluate both msc and bsc?. Thank you

Only your Msc.
Your school is supposed to send the transcript not you.

Bruv, I had the same skepticism as you did when i was about to submit my eAPR. I think the studio and date thingy is for paper based applications. Besides, if you click on the 'instructions' icon where you need to upload your digital photo, the instructions and format are clearly stated there...and there is nothing like putting a date and name of studio there. Also, I consulted a friend who has a success story regarding PPR. The passport specification he used did not have have the name of the studio or date on it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much bro. I just sent u a PM now

Why do you want to evaluate your WAEC?
You should evaluate your highest degree only.
It may be his.

Bro,

I can confirm to you that you can actually use your soft copy for WES. I did the same and I never had any problem. Besides, all CIC need is the reference number on your ECA, the one you fill in your application, they do the confirmation themselves. Its in cases in which they are unable to confirm that they usually issue ADRs.

Point is you can use your soft copy as long as its authentic.

Hmmm that's a first. Pls what stage are you? Gotten PPR yet?

What does WES give? IQAS gave BSC...(3 years post grad degree, both ND and HND added together)

Those dat ve used WES for dis say it is evaluated as two or more certificates. So it's better cos it gives u more points

CC LordsSebastian

If you are travelling with them, they will have their own questionnaire slots...the ones you need to mention are children or dependants your are not travelling with and not include in the application.

I feel these two are unconnected except for the fact that your resources might probably be limited once you start the Msc...you might have strained your account balance.

If your masters is for a 1year for example, It means by the time the whole FSW is clicking for you, you will just be finishing your studies (assuming you meet all criteria for the FSW).

If you are asking expressly if you are to pick 1...my brother, opinions will defer...but for me knowing what I know now...i will pursue this FSW.

Hello, Congratulations on your admission. I think you can do both together. What is your CRS score? Have you gotten your ITA? If yes, then that will make things easier as you can complete your documentation before traveling. If no, then I will advice that you have all necessary things and information like Letter of Reference with you before traveling (but not PCC because of the expiry date). For medicals, I don't really know if you can do that before leaving Nigeria (the validity period is one year).

Well, if your CRS score is high then it is possible for you to get ITA and complete your documentation before travelling. If you have not started the process at all, read page 0 and do your IELTS exams and ECA so that you can enter the pool to increase your chances of getting ITA before going to USA.

By the way, this your username lipsrsealed lipsrsealed (prime minister of Canada shocked)

Thank you so much, you are the best

Thanks

Bro I feel your matter was actually in your shoes. Got admission in USA Dec. 2016, EE profile Dec too. Had to resume Jan 4 2017. I decided to defer cos I was certain the scores where coming down so luckily I got ITA Jan 11. Fsw is certainly a cheaper option. Like someone said if you go on with the masters you may have depleted your funds but if you have alot of money you can run the two paripaso. Sometimes it's good to be patient but patience comes with alot of pain too. I am patiently waiting.

Hello great people, quick question pls! For a person with Canadian masters and Nigerian B.sc, is it necessary to evaluate the B.sc considering the fact that what matters most is the highest qualification?

The 15k is for all if that's what you want, you'll also pay 15k for just one.

Depends on you.

You have already answered your own question. Evaluate what "matters" cool

I actually missed the "Canadian" Masters part. Please take time to review the basics.

Great scores, can you pls share tips on your preparation techniques?

I used Cambridge materials to prepare for the listening and reading tests. Didn't prepare much for speaking and writing as I believed myself to be a good speaker/writer (that's contestable). The Cambridge materials were quite tough especially the MAP style questions so it really helps to practice. Funny thing is I never scored above 36 in the listening but thank God. It really helps to identify weak areas and work on those e.g. pronunciation/spelling etc. You need maximum concentration and I advise you anticipate some answers ahead: for some of the listening questions, I already made a best guess based on the preceding sentences and some were correct. The reading was tougher than I expected though but you need to practice speed reading and skimming through text: you don't have to read the entire paragraph to get an idea of what it's about. For the writing test my approach was to write as much as possible so they may pity me and dash me small mark: I used an extra sheet for Writing test 2 because when I read what I wrote so far, I wasn't convinced it would give me a good score.

In the end, if your score gives you the minimum points required, you may want to focus on other avenues to boost your CRS.

U got ITA in January and sail haven't gotten PR.. just how long does this process take. I thought once u get ITA and u meet the requirements you have crossed the major hurdles and your PR shouldn't be far.

Great scores! WES usually responds to mails after a week but Twitter response time is a few hours. They actually sent a mail indicating the day i will have my report (Only a patient person can do biz with WES). All the best!
