Hello great people, quick question pls! For a person with Canadian masters and Nigerian B.sc, is it necessary to evaluate the B.sc considering the fact that what matters most is the highest qualification?

Why would you have to evaluate a Canadian degree again?

'Far' is a relative term sir. CIC expressly tells you that it takes at most 6 months from the moment you submit docs matching the requirements to the point you get a PPR. Some have had shorter response times...some longer.

In this process, you will have to drink from the chalice of patience.

U got ITA in January and sail haven't gotten PR.. just how long does this process take. I thought once u get ITA and u meet the requirements you have crossed the major hurdles and your PR shouldn't be far.

Thank u! But has anyone remarked reading and listening and the scores increased? Coz i heard they are not subjective so nothing can be done about it

So I heard.
I wouldn't advice anyone to request for a remark in reading and listening though.
But if you are very very sure of yourself you may.

I'm requesting for a remark in writing myself.
It doesn't hurt to try.

Please house if one is taking a child to Canada without one of the parents, what are the documents needed to travel with, so as not to be sent back.

Good morning, good people, my EE profile expires at 2.pm today. Should I wait until it expires or I should create a new one now. I don't want to miss a possible ITA tomorrow

To be on the safe side, you can create a new profile immediately but I suggest that you use another email address. What is your CRS score?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 9:16am On May 16, 2017
Thanks a lot and congratulations on your scores again
Chordata:

In the end, if your score gives you the minimum points required, you may want to focus on other avenues to boost your CRS.

The poster didn't say he/she wants to evaluate the Canadian degree. He asked about evaluating the Nigerian BSc. Any thoughts?

IQAS received my documents on the 8th of this month and I am yet to get any acknowledgement mail from them, still waiting though.

yeah... between the time you use your tracking number to know it arrived their office and when they would acknowledge its about a week (plus) before this week runs out you would get a response.....All the best

Does it matter if one is unemployed at the moment but had 3 to 4 years relevant experience in an NOC section? Will it b a problem?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by LordSebastian: 9:32am On May 16, 2017
I don't think it should be a problem

You will get the points applicable to a Masters without ECA, so why would you want to evaluate the Nigerian BSc again?

My results came out and i got L-8,R-6.5,W-7.5,S-6.5.
I'm so confident with my self especially with speaking..
And if i get at least 7 in those 2. My score would be up to 450..
Would like to give it a try before thinking of rewriting

It's a process my dear. I only submitted my docs eapr on March 15th so my 6mths starts from then. If you get ITA and your docs are ready, you can apply quickly if you are in a hurry. ITA is just a milestone.

Hi.......pls i read somewhere on here about filling a schedule A form if you ticked that you had previously been refused visa. Is this true as it wasn't one of the documents requested? If so where do we add this document?

Thanks

[I also submitted the soft copy of my WES report. Submitted my application in February, Meds passed in April, additional document request (Ghana PCC ) in April, background check in progress. I'm sure if there was a problem with the soft copy, I would have heard about it by now

Those dat ve used WES for dis say it is evaluated as two or more certificates. So it's better cos it gives u more points

Oh really!! I would ordinarily think all credentials evaluating bodies will use the same evaluation metrics. Otherwise in my opinion there would be double standard. I stand to be corrected though

Heĺlo house, someone mentioned that Iqas is not acceptable in all provinces in Canada for work purpose. I.e those that use it to get PR might need to use WES to reassess when they begin a job search in some provinces in Canny. Please is this true?
Thanks

Bro I feel your matter was actually in your shoes. Got admission in USA Dec. 2016, EE profile Dec too. Had to resume Jan 4 2017. I decided to defer cos I was certain the scores where coming down so luckily I got ITA Jan 11. Fsw is certainly a cheaper option. Like someone said if you go on with the masters you may have depleted your funds but if you have alot of money you can run the two paripaso. Sometimes it's good to be patient but patience comes with alot of pain too. I am patiently waiting.

Thank you for your kind advise,do you have your PR now?

Pls i just got married and my wife's passport is in her maiden name which will soon expire by july. We are putting in for ielts. Pls should she renew in her maiden name and we back it up with marraige documents? Cos i heard change of name is a very long process and it requires you going to abuja and waiting for more than one month. Its also costly too
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by LordSebastian: 11:49am On May 16, 2017
Something you should consider is that the date of your marriage documents will be earlier than passport renewal date. It could cause eyebrows to be raised by CIC for example if it is renewed in her maiden name...if they are very observant. Except you have some other explantion that she wont be bearing your name. smiley

There's no big deal in bearing her maiden name. I still bear mine on my passport and I've been married forever. All you need is your marriage certificate and you can put some pictures to back it up If you're that worried ( never done the picture part though)

Hubby and I have applied for visas together with no issues.

Good luck.

bbaby84 is right, its no big deal, not everyone change their name after marriage. I have been married since 2012 and have my maiden name on all my documents including my passport, except some where i had it hyphenated, like bank accounts. I have applied for visas with hubby and kids and never had a problem, even traveled alone with my kids on different occasions and never been asked questions. Once you have your marriage certificate, you are good.

Both @bbaby84 and @Dammiehair were spot on. However, If you guys wanna change the name. It has now been decentralized, you can go do it at Ikoyi...it takes abit longer than the regular passports and cost more, but you don't have to go to Abuja. My wife did same cause we were in a similar situation as you are and panicked only to find out later its no biggie once documents are in place to prove the marriage.
