Most of us low income earners (for now) always fail to realise that we are richer than all these Bugatti celebs. We feed ourselves every day without owing or borrowing, help Family and Friends, buy small small things keep for house as properties, pay shop rent/house rent without anyone knocking on our doors for debts, but it's quite unfortunate that we don't appreciate how rich we are just because we don't own the latest Iphons, Samsungs, Technos, Cars, Rolex etc.

Keep on working hard/smart, and one day your legit deals will yield unstained sustainable wealth In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

But you made Tinubu your hero
He is not my hero per say but has his own cult of followers but only if you can name any of your kinsmen who matches Tinubus achievements.

Its OK to do "bad things" (like Tinubu), as long as you have "achievements". Then you can condone that, abi?

Nonsense. Call what is bad, bad

Yorubas are not like the other tribe, which praise and celebrate criminality. Once caught, Yorubas will ensure that you face the full brunt of the law

If he has committed a crime, he may have been charged by now. As I said earlier not every Yoruba will agree with Tinubus leadership styles but he has done more for them of recent than anyone else although helping his own pocket.

Nothing stringent about those bail conditions.

That money isn't meant to be paid until he jumps bail ie runs away.

That sum means those sureties will guaranty that if he runs away then they may be asked to pay and not that he will pay that before his release.

Pay no heed to these yeye bloggers. The main issue is, they have to be level 16 civil servants. Which normal civil servant will sign surety for that criminal?

Who will stand for him, Yoruba don't condone bad things, he should rot there and serve his punishment.

Your right... They don't condone evil, after voting Kashanu (American wanted drug lord) into the Senate, as well as celebrating Bode George after serving his conviction.

Stringent bail conditions? That's the whole point of the system to be strict otherwise anyone granted bail will just simply not bother returning. If yin act like an idiot when you have money no one will catch you when you fall.

This is the problem with Nigerians. In NORMAL societies, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty while in Nigeria you are automatically guilty until proven innocent. This is why it is so easy for them to set someone on fire for stealing a maggi cube. What a people.

Its not about the money ,he has the money for bail but no senior civil servant will want to submit his passport to serve as surety for him

ikoyi prison posh na... dey for send am go kiri kiri prisons

JamieHotSource:
Embattled movie marketer and alleged fraudster, Seun Egbegbe has spent 100 days in prison according to reports.

The lanky showbiz promoter continues to wane in the general cell of Ikoyi prisons where he has taken residence. Family and friends of Egbegbe have not been able to secure his bail.

According to a source close to Egbegbe, friends and benefactors have abandoned him, leaving him to bear his cross alone “Now, the frequency of people visiting him in the prison has reduced drastically. All his friends and followers have deserted him.

They are afraid of being implicated. It is only his heavily pregnant girlfriend, Nikky Berry and his parents that visit him now.

They still prepare his food from home. Most of his girlfriends and those he supports financially have deserted him. Nikky is the only girl left with him now” the source said.

In addition, no one wants to stand as surety for Egbegbe due to the strict nature of the bail conditions.

According to the source:”Things are not as expected at all. He earlier thought it was a child’s play. It’s now he understands better the kind of situation he is in. I learnt that his family has since been running from pillar to post to get him out of detention, but their efforts are yet to yield the desired results as nobody is ready to stand as surety for him because of the stringent conditions attached.”

Recall that Seun Egbege was arrested for allegedly defrauding some Bureau De Change operatives of over N40 million, between 2016 and February 2017. He has been granted bail since February of N5 million with two sureties each in a sum of N2.5 million.

Justice Oguntoyinbo of the Federal High Court in Lagos ruled that Mr. Egbegbe be granted bail once he meets his bail requirements.

Serves him right , let him enjoy his new status, I pity the pregnant girl who is taking care of him, cos when he makes bail he will dump her and her baby and go to the girls who abandoned him. Afonja Logic.

So why has he not found a surety?
There could be other conditions like the sureties owning kandedw properties and also residing within courts jurisdiction.

Under a Yoruba led national government, Kasamu stand no chance, he got away with all he did under the Jonathan government. We all see the revelations coming out, America never supported Jonathan's government and he sees no reason to hand him to them. On Bode George, there are 4 purposes of prisons , retribution, incapacitation, deterrence, and rehabilitation. Bode George has done bad but at the same time serve his time. What you won't see is Yoruba crying why bode George should be sent to prison. Celebrating Bode George ? Hell no, he's done and dusted!

Some offenders are held in custody for some reasons (1) if there are chances of them not coming to court when needed to (2) commit further offence while on bail (3) Endanger the safety or welfare of the public (4) interfere with witnesses. Seun may have bridge conditions 2 and 3 and that explain my first reasoning.
