Why there is no major sea port in niger delta?

Because harbours in Niger Delta are shallow. You spend more money dredging. Whereas, harbours in the West are naturally deeper. The deeper your harbour, the bigger the size of ships they can receive

Did you read it at all? Where was it indicated that Nigerian Navy is not aware of the presence of the Cameroonian ship? The ambassador received salute from both Nigerian and Cameroonian sailors.

I understand.

In a sensible country money should be spent to create our desire wish.

Another seaport needed to be created. We are country of about 200 million people.

The Nigerian waters is being covered by FALCON EYE. You can look it up on google.
Call it patriotism but its the fact. Cameroon navy ships can't bypass falcon eye. The Nigerian government knows about the visit hence reason for safe passage. For smaller vessels, our ships are over ready to detect any strange aircraft all from the gulf of guinea, Sao tome and togolese waters.

I wish i can share ur strong faith in our military. Anyway, u talk like someone in the know. Great to know that we are more than prepared to defend our dear nation.

U think dis is 24 abi? Hope u read where d navy commander opened his mouth to admit dey are still yet to be briefed on why a WARSHIP came visiting. Even if dey didn't know which is totally wrong in the first place, admitting such is embarrassing in itself..
Re: Cameroon Sends War Ship To Calabar by Youlinsovicom(m): 6:58am On May 20, 2017
Are our water ways that loose ? A warship in Nigeria from cameroun n the navy is feigning ignorant of their mission. The Chief of naval staff should be ashamed of himself n his command. THERE WAS ONCE A COUNTRY.

I am surprised you believed a foreign war ship could dock on our shores and our navy will not have prior knowledge if its objective .

The navy just don't want to tell the media now .

Did u also read it at all, D top Nigerian Navy Commander overseeing d region admitting they are yet to be briefed on why the WARSHIP came visiting? A WARSHIP, not cruiseship or fishing boat... A FREAKING WARSHIP!! At the very least dey are supposed to have known dey are coming and why. U allow a WARSHIP into the nation's waters and yet to ascertain their mission? Is dat normal to u?

Anything courtesy visits the general public needs not to be aware for some reasons best known to both parties involved. So y is everybody screaming @ y'hello",?
The statement the Nigerian navy boss said that they are yet to ascertain their reasons for the courtesy visit is a lie from the OP. Abeg make i pass.

A lie from the OP to what gains exactly? He's admitted to still expecting to be briefed and dats normal? A WARSHIP?

The problem is that you don't know anything. For the ship to "dock" it means it was received into the harbour/naval base. That we dont know why they are here does not mean we did not see them coming!

If U think a WARSHIP is d same as a cruise ship or fishing boat den U clearly don't know anything about security.. A WARSHIP was received with d Navy Chief in charge of d region admitting to not knowing their mission? Some of U jus make comments without thinking first.. Try driving a couple of Army Tanks towards d Cameroonian border without informing dem on why u're coming and see what would happen first.

Then there are beta ways to shield d info from d media dan admitting they are unaware of their mission to the country.. Do u know what dat means.. Dat a navy Commander is unaware of why A WARSHIP came visiting.... That is d embarrassing aspect

Jonathan failed to do major seaport there.

But a serious minded governor can achieve that. How?
The governor can invite investors to do it but needed to work with the federal government.
