SmartyPants:lies from the pit of hell ,our foot has always been on your neck ...hence your presidents always coming to beg here ,when last did you see Biya over there ? Boko haram even further exposed your ill preparedness, lack equipment, and dysfunctional army...as I'm typing out army is occcupying big chunks of Nigerian northern states and conducting air strikes at will ...so much for the right of pursuit Nigeria was allegedly looking for ...ah ah .history retains that if it wasn't for our blockade against Biafra there wouldn't be any Nigeria and if it wasn't for our intervention against Boko there wouldn't be any Nigeria either ....: a bataillon from the BIR is enough to bring back to cameroun osinbajo and buhari in cages with chains around their necks and ankles ... don't you even worry 2035 won't pass without calabar and cross river being part of cameroun |

PerfectlyPerfect: Nonsense! Both the army and airforce alongside the navy have been received regular upgrades. I think most of you really need a lesson in English comprehension: The naval command said they were not formally briefed of the camerounian ship's intentions. This has two simple implications for any rational person: 1. Not being aware of their intentions does not mean they are unaware of their presence. This is patently obvious. I hate the fact that i have to break it down like this because everyone old enough to use a smartphone should be mentally advanced enough to think and make the following deductions, that: a. A solitary patrol boat cannot do much harm if any at all. b. Even if it could do any harm, within 30 minutes just one of Nigeria's airforce jets would send it to the depths of the deep blue sea. But even without the jets, Nigeria has frigates that far outclass every other navy vessel in the gulf of guinea. NNS Aradu or thunder can easily sink any other vessel in the region in under 5 minutes. The point is, if that vessel came here on a hostile terms, that would be pure suicide. c. Cameroon is a friendly nation with whom we have ongoing military cooperation. There would be no reason, to assume they had hostile intentions. Furthermore, the report says the Cameroonian naval command aboard the vessel were saluted by the Nigerian navy, meaning they were welcomed. d. In light of the above, from the perspective of the Nigerian navy, the incursion by the Cameroonian's is unusual but nothing serious. 2. The Nigerian naval command may have been informally briefed of the purpose of the visit. 1 Like 1 Share |

SmartyPants:wow.... your first pointing on winning or not winning a battle.. aha while Nigerian troops were fleeing from boko haram our patriotic soldiers were singing songs of glory and victory.have you ever heard of Cameroon hiring mercenaries to do their fight? on the second point on weaponry.. Nigerian air force and infantry is dominated Biafra era weapons. lol..while our patriotic army have undergone radical modernisation since the start of the 2000s..we have a small but efficient military while you guys are bragging over old outdated, inefficient, incompetent, Ill discipline, mismanage army. On the third point you raised you displayed full Nigerian trait of naivety and ignorance.. gendarmes are not soldiers!! they play a complementary role as police.. we have a better well organise less corrupt police core than Nigeria..OK back to my explanation on gendarme.. they are trained to deal with situation as those happening in the South east region of Nigeria which is now capital for pirates, arms groups, oil pipe vandals etc..Cameroon gendarme proved the Worth when they dealt with the UPC terrorist in the 1960 shortly after independence.. they even succeeded I. holding large chunks of bakassi.. oohhh!! Nigerian officers only know of how to seize power in a coup..signs of poor discipline and unpatriotism... most importantly am still to see a Nigerian leader intelligent enough to have diplomatic military relationships with Russia, US,China,France,Israel etc with all of them having personnels on ground!!!! that's what we call strength!! which Nigeria is totally lacking!!!.. |

diymba: I know you must defend your country na... but lets face facts... Nigeria is unmatched militarily by Cameroun. And i know what gendarmes are: they more or less could be compared to Nigeria's mobile police force. If we want to be totally objective here, it is undeniable that Nigeria is the superior military power in the sub-region, and second only to South Africa within the entire sub-saharan bloc. If we line up the facts side by side bro the result will be an embarrassment. |
