Curlieweed:
Great insight as usual. However as regards the highlighted, I would encourage you to curb your enthusiasm and refer to the The Willink Minorities Commission of 1958.
You see, we need to go read and study. Not many opine from an informed perspective. And this thing requires intelligent and well informed views to prosper. Not ignorant, sterile vituperations and name calling, all bubbles and foam.

[s]you just nailed it.
My grandfather lost his house in port harcourt as abandoned property, he later reclaimed it late 70s by then our community fell into Rivers by boundary adjustment(that is Oyigbo lga), it was not an easy task, he faced many embarrasment, humiliation and intimidations.
He told me stories, and many of them are shocking, Igbo denial was a norm then, it was catalysed by a particular ethnic group that ruled Old Rivers then.
Anti-Igbo sentiments was like a daily receitation in the communities of these minorities.
The word "IGBO" is like a poison to them, they hated it with passion.
I know these people, the Hausa/Fulanis will offer a chance to seize Igbo properties again if war breaks out and they will accept the offer.
I really pity Ipobs.[/s]
angry Thrash from the pit of afonja hell. No more of this your Oduduwa propaganda. No more! angry

Who else are the people? Have you ever stepped foot in Urhobo territory before? Do you know what the average Urhobo man thinks of?

All the Urhobos that have come on this thread have rejected Biafra (Amberon, Efewestern, Mamus, Sanchez01, etc). Do you want Urhobo Biafran lovers to fall from the sky?

My friend, better face your lane and leave Urhobos alone. We were never and never will be Biafrans!!!
Yeah, thought as much...nairaland reference...you where have you been to in urhobo, nonsense!

Nothing is misleading about the title. That it was deliberately used to incure sensation doesn't mean it isn't true. IPOB DID PLEA THAT URHOBOS/ISOKOS OBSERVE THEIR SIT-AT-HOME!

Our herdsmen crisis has NOTHING to do with liberation. It is a criminal affair and will be treated as such.

We are not slaves. If you are a slave, no problem but don't force that status on others.
If you guys aren't slaves, then take control of your oil wells and jobs

Nonsense.

Why are you running in circles? Please leave my peripheral vision. It's obvious you have nothing else to say. Since when has this discourse turned to whether Urhobo have leaders or not? Who and who comprise the UPU? Ghosts? Are they not leaders? Don't we have Senators, HoR members, Governors/Ex-Governors, Ministers, Commissioners? Are these people not a part of UPU?

You are very wise! You've dissected the problem thoroughly!

Until the entire South and Middle Belt align interests, nothing will change in Nigeria! The more we keep antagonising ourselves, the better we place the Northern Oligarchy. And like you rightly said, Igbos are frustrated with this project and the fact they think others are not makes them even angrier.

The truth is that everyone is tired of Nigeria but no one apart from Igbos will near the word "Biafra" even with a 6 foot pole. Let's harmonise interests, swallow our prides and form a strong bloc against the North so that a better nation can be discussed or at worst, Nigeria would be disintegrated into various self sufficient parts.
Well said, I wish I could say well done in your language to you.

Lol....Funny that you're discrediting what is clear for all to see. I recall a time when Nnamdi KANU himself ,not anyone else stated clearly on Radio Biafra that Urhobo was Biafra. He said Warri is part of Biafra. I heard this live and clear but I know you ipobians will deny it as well.
Nnamdi Kanu is absolutely correct. But since you have been gorging yourself shamelessly on Afonja propaganda, you fail to see reality. Try harder, you are very weak

Are you not blighted by hate, therefore, impervious to truth?
.What on earth do you think the Igbo shall exploit Urhobo, Itshekiri, Isoko for, if not that your so-hated IPOB understood that:
1; Achieving Igbo-only Biafra may have more obstacles if the non-Igbos in the SS are excluded.

2;, If Igbo-only Biafra is achieved, before long, you and other non-Igbos in the SS in Nigeria shall flood the same Biafra as refugees seeking asylum in Biafra, as you run away from Nigeria due to persecution of all sorts, including from Jihadists?
Mr Man, leave us alone. If you get your own country and we flood as refugees, how is that your problem? GO and get your country first and stop the IFs. Why do you think what you just said is not vice versa?

Kindly do us a favour and leave us from your plans!! You can go and negotiate with Ibibio, Efik, Anaang, Oron, Ikwerre, Ijaw, etc. But leave us from it. We don't have anything in common with Igbo and we don't want Igbo domination. Take una wahala and go your way.

A referendum will not be conducted on our soil because we didn't ask for one. Did Wales take part in the Scottish referendum?
Afonja you are correct. A referendum will not be conducted in the SW and in the non-Igbo part of Edo State. However, everywhere else in the South and Middle-belt will see referendum. Otherwise, how can we then say that people's voices have been heard? Please go and take several seats back, you are not making ANY sense.

Tanks.u just nailed it.I never this person was so naive and shallow thinking.she sounded more like a saboteur than a real igbo. Her comments reek of contradictions, while she thinks she is being cool and smart with unfounded assertions and and sweeping general statements, just like the deluded OP.Igbos are not forcing any body to join Biafra, but understand the moral burden of informing their neigbour to join them to flee the impending calamity to befell this Giant mess in Africa, called Nigeria; So another southern Cameroon scenario doesn't happen again. And if they don't heed the warning and get caught up in the mess,Igbos will boldly look them in the face and tell them:Didn't we warn you? Bear your Fate.
Okay. We have heard your warning. Una do well. Oya bye bye to your Biafra. Why can't you just warn and go away already?

God bless you.
There is something about the Igbo future due to these Ipob that scares me to the bone marrow.
What happened last in Bayelsa against Igbo traders is not ordinary, its like a hatred piled up in the heart, waiting for an opportunity to show it out.
Igbos are Not loved in those minority areas, the hausa/fulanis knows this.
Thats why they are secreting preparing for war to wipe out Igbos, they will have afaithful allies among these minorities just like in 1967.
I am scared! Something scares me over this feeling.
I was at a traditional wedding in oron last 3months ago, I spend 2 days there, you need to see the heavy Igbophobic sentiment among the locals there, it was shocking.
Why not leave these minorities alone and go for an Igbo only country?
You are one of the most reasonable igbos on thus forum, your people decided to create a monster to solve a political problem, a very bad move because monsters have a way of becoming uncontrollable at a point. The other day we heard of little kids swearing to die for biafra as if they were old enough to know what death, biafra or politics mean. I was surprised because the elders in igboland who i thought would be outraged by such stood by and weren't bothered. You spoke about igbophobia, take the likes of GodisBiafran, evilunityseekers and many more other and tell me if they aren't the cause. I used to think the tribal hatred was a joke till I started encountering igbos with minds filled with hate and arrogance. You people need to check yourselves. These people are among us, some have hidden their hate and only come online to spew it, some are becoming bold and are doing so in the open. People are noticing it and if reasonable pple like you stand aside and the shit hits the fan, you will be forced into taking sides. The struggle for biafra shouldn't be about bitterness, afterall even if it happens we will still be neighbours so let everyone think of the future.

Whoever has no control over his affairs and what surrounds him is like a slave

Igbo, the largest or second largest ethnic group in Nigeria cannot by any imagination of a sane mind be like enslaved in Nigeria or be associated with slavery.

If you want to debate about the thread you posted, come on. But if you go on tribal slurs like an unprepared person, you are an agent of continuation of the political status quo in Nigeria.

Your herdsmen crisis? When are you going to treat it?

Your crisis by Boko Haram induced by adoption of Sharia criminal codes in the north - when shall you treat it?
