Funny enough, of all the members of the western region, including igbos, it was Urhobo who voted massively against western region, in favour of mid-west region.

You are liar

Herbert Macaulay assistant is Nnamdi Azikwe

You can lie for Africa

Herbert Macauley died and was replaced by Eyo Ita. That was how Ita became President. Just because of that! When Azikiwe took back control of the NCNC, Eyo Ita was kicked out like the minority that he was, barely 2 years after, before the completion of his tenure.

In fact, they had the opportunity much more than any group in the East ever did. Igbos were very domineering, and that was why there were resentments from the Eastern Ijaws and Ogonis.

In the Western Region, minorities had a say in the house and were allowed to express that right. The Western Region was the first to ratify the Willink's commission report and started the processes towards the creation of the Mid-Western State. To crown it all, when the Mid-West was created, we made an Enuani-Igbo, Osita Osadebay as our premier. Something that I know Igbos would never do for any other group then.

Why didn't Mid West had a shot in the leadership of Western Nigeria even for a second

Leader of Eastern Government in 1951?? C'mon man! You can do better than this.

In 1951, the configurations were different than from 1960. I can also give you a list of more than 5 Midwesterners that were leaders of the Western Region in the colonial period.

You have shifted the post to post colonial era that regions lasted only for some years. In this case, there is no argument.

Did I shift to the post-colonial era? I was always on the post-colonial era. It was your yam-legged kin that took the discourse to the colonial period and I followed suit.

If you even use the post-colonial period as the yardstick, you'd find that Igbos dominated the region from 1960-1970, without any other ethnicity being at the fore.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Independence_Party_(Nigeria)

He joined the National Council of Nigerian and the Cameroons (NCNC)in the 1940s and was elected Vice President after the death of Herbert Macaulay , which saw Nnamdi Azikiwe emerging as the new leader of the party.

Are you from this part of the planet? You're flexible with words man. That is what we call creativity. cheesy Well, in my opinion, its too late to save the Nigerian project, except by divine intervention when ethnic-ism is completely buried, deep six feet, which you and I know is very impossible. Our politicians hide behind the curtain of tribe and region to steal us dry. The case of the North is very obvious. Religion is the rallying point, while the South is blinded by ethno-phobia and mistrust for one another. Biafra might be the only solution, as this call is forcing everybody to sit up to reality. My opinion though.
Thanks my Bro. The first book I consciously read was Chike and the River by Chinua Achebe. And I've been a fan ever since.

I share your sentiments. Nigeria is a broken thing. God be with you in your endeavours. We shall meet in that place where there's only light.

Anyway, as Anioma State is launched, so will Itsekiri State with Illaje and Arogbo etc.
