well, i suppose that since they've never seen light before, nor any other colour for that matter, then they cannot identify blackness as a colour. so, technically they see nothing.

this assumption would hold true for only those born blind.

Well your assumption is actually wrong.. The truth is, dey indeed see NOTHING. Not blackness, in fact some blind ppl can perceive some form of light but they don't have what we call functional vision. Just imagine a situation/condition wea everything is heavily blurred no matter how close and u will understand
