Please diamond is never produced.It is unearthed in an unlikely location and the mining is like spiritual,I stand on my first comment,there is no diamond in Taraba,Rio tinto etc would have find their way to naija,South Africa is a no go area to mine diamond because of difficult govt. control,Botswana is another try but not possible in Naija.Diamond comes with purity,clarity,availability and cuttable.I have not heard of even a carat of diamond discovery in naija.I may be wrong but we don't have diamond deposit,this is the basic truth.

My brother,i think i will agree with you just to agree.Nigeria has a large depot of gemstones,the same way phrenite,topaz,agate,aquamarine etc is mined is same way diamond is mined,but Nigeria has not got commercial deposit of diamonds,talking about top african countries that have large deposit of diamonds,Angola,Sierra Leone and South Africa are first mentioned.Nigeria has high deposit of tantalite nubiom and Tanzania is the chief depot of tanzanite.It is as if somebody is saying Guinea and Liberia has Oil deposit,yes it is always discovered along the water ways but do they have it in commercial quantity?I am just seeing it but i have not heard any diamond from Nigeria reached Antwerp ,Tucson or Thailand.Until the day Nigeria diamond would reach times magazine in terms of carat and purity,i will not classify Nigeria as a Diamond mining countries in Africa.I want it though because it will bring investors.

You are right brother. I have one from Cameroon parading with Topaz in Nigeria for diamond.

We have tested it several times and result shown not diamond but he insist. Just be careful and good luck.

The best country to learn all about gemstones live and clear is Thailand.I love their cutting expertise,you don't buy stories of stones,all nations bring what they have to the table.I learnt alot there and i think a would be first class gemstones merchant should learn there.

Alot of people talk and hear about diamond in Sierra Leone without seeing it once in their lifetime.Diamonds are not easily picked on the streets,some miners mine all their entire lives without coming across a carat of it,it is not that easy be well informed.

You talked about Katsina in Nigeria.I have not heard of any diamond of world value mined in Nigeria.No be tomatoes,no matter where you end up selling a diamond the country of origin must be known,you can't hide to sell it or smuggle it to buyers as crooks will tell you.
