Drink a lot of water. I had kidney stones in 2014. The pain na die. I was scheduled to ve an appointment with d doctor to get it removed. But I was constitently drinking water which helped greatly to flush out d stone which passed out thru urine. It was a hard stony material.

Let's go natural, which is the hard way.

. 1 litre of water every evening before sleeping and another in the morning before eating ,the idea here is to dissolve the stones so you can pass them out.

. Stay clear of caffeinated, gassy and sugary drinks.

. Less salt or no more salts in your diet.

. Stay clear of red meat and junks like noodles.

. There will be pains, so you can have ibuprofen when it starts.

. Acidic fruits are a no, citrus and friends. Go for watermelon and cucumber.

. Eat lesser but let your body fluids be higher, composition of only water.

. See your doctor for a prescription alongside this.

My dear, the earlier ur find a reliable hospital to conduct detailed examination & request appropriate investigation on u (if necessary) d earlier u'll find solutions 2 ur problem. First, I'm not convinced ur problem is Kidney stones until proven otherwise. This is cos d ribs is one of d least expected sites to feel d pain frm kidney stones based on d location of d kidneys.
Having said this, even if u've gat kidney stones, mgt depends on a Nö of factors of wc d Size of d stone is major determinant.
Possible options include:

1. Drinking large volumes of water-------- for very small (tiny) stones. This helps u produce more urine, thereby aiding in voiding d stones via d urine.

2. Medications------------ for small stones. Breaks down d stone to smaller stones dat can be passed easier.

3. Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy---------For large stones. Procedure is done to breakdown d stone.

4. Nephrolithotomy----------- for very large stones. Surgery is done to remove d stone.

The pain is d worst or most severe pain in my life. A full grown man like was shouting cos of d severity of d pain. I was rushed to d hospital at 1 am and was injected with an injection to kill d pain. I was given 4 doses after d 1,2,3 didnt give me relief. It made me slept off and then d following day i went to scan which revealed d stone. Afterwards i felt pain at intervals but not as severe as it was.
I was then referred to LASUTH or LUTH but I went to LASUTH cos it was close to me. They recommended tests and MRI scan which was about 75000 at d time outside tests that wud cost me not less than 45000. I was told that becausr of d list of people also on d waiting list of d urologist i should come in a year time. Due to plea from my aunt who works there i was told 6 months can u imagine.Well I know it may be very expensive so my advice for u is to drink water everytime in a day. I mean drink like a camel morning, afternoon, night so that it wud help dislodge d stone. The day u will pass out d stone u will feel a movement down ur abdomen depending on d side of d stone- right or left. Avoid anything rich in calcium like milk. Then go to d pharmacy buy Mist pot citrate.

When the pain started it was excruciating, you'll wish you fall unconscious till the pain goes, but no.... Then I always wish someone come save me by cutting the side off my body (below my right rib)...

But so far, I've been getting better and since I've been going by the rules I am OK.... But anytime I misbehave like delaying going to the loo, emptying my bladder or starving myself, I experience the pain but not as before, Mind you avoid anything of white flour (bread,snacks) as much as possible please.

Believe me you'll be fine with time... It's not an impulse process... With all this the stone might dissolve, or shift space...

I was diagnosed with the stone and inflammatory at the time, the medications that was administered was too strong, instead of taking the nutritional way...

Guy I think I'm feeling something similar and I went for full check up but the doctors said I'm fine, my kidneys and livers are ok but I urinate too often, and I feel some swelling around my tigh... Please let me know

Bros nothing to fear at all. What u do is this: Take the right drug to handle d inflammation as prescribed. Then u dont play with drinking water at all. First thing u do in d morning drinking so much water. Sit down with 4 litres and drink like a camel. U may take it gently but believe it helps dislodge d stone, flushing out whatever bacteria or its toxins which wud go along way in helping u overcome d inflammation. The inflammation could also be caused by d presence of d stone itself as it is foreign to d body so stick to d water therapy. If u had done this earlier believe u may have been relieved right now

U may or may not av kidney stones (even wt ur so called ultrasound------not wt d many horrible things happening dly where even a carpenter is almost operating diagnostic centre) buh my point is ur kidney stones shudn't be responsible for ur rib pain. U cud av a coexisting condition or u cuddav bn wrongly diagnosed ab initio.

At first a doctor diagnosed me that I had ulcer. Sounds funny but the drugs he prescribed for me was actually helping but when I finished the drugs I started feeling the discomfort again. I'm quite surprised that my own symptoms are somehow different from what others with kidney stones have. Tho they are some similarities like my left abdomenment it feels like something is stuck there but i mostly happens when i eat food like beans indomie etc and that also causes my lower left rib pains but the discomfort I usually feel is around my left breast bones slightly under the chest. I feel some kind of uncomfortable movement around that area like bubbling sensation. Sometimes it feel like I'm not taking enough breath whenever I'm trying to breath in. And lastly I feel this left bone pains at the joint in my back...

I'm just so confused... Only God can save me

you have a point on the cos apple cider vinegar is know to help cure Varicocele in the veins... one of the major problem in Africa is out lifestyle habit. majority of the food is carbohydrate and People hardly it fruits. there needs to be a overhaul of Life style to ensure a balance.

Oh so sorry for that. I would advice in addition to drinking water go to d nearest pharmacy buy Mist pot citrate and use as directed. It helps to increase d pH of d blood which wud make it impossible for formation of more stony masses which is favoured by acidic pH due to oxalate formation. If u notice any side effect let me know.
Pls as I said dont fail to drink water I mean so much water especially in d morning as long as u know u ve d chance to pee at once in what I call water therapy. Drink water like a camel . Pls drink a whole 4 litres cos steady flow or stream of water wud eventually dislodge it.Never retain urine at all. Avoid carbonated drinks or soft drinks.
