BMP 2M IFV with Berezhok upgrade , Algerian army

B05Ya01 Berezhok manned turret developed by Tula-based KBP company (a subsidiary of the High-Precision Weapons holding) is the latest upgrade of the basic BMP-2`s combat module. It incorporates 30mm 2A42 automatic gun as a main weapon with coaxial 7.62mm PKT/PKTM machinegun . B05Ya01 is equipped with anti-tank guided missiles, namely, four ready-to-launch 9M133 Kornet-E ATGMs.

The module has also received 30mm AG-30 automatic grenade launcher (AGL) and six 902B Tucha smoke grenade launchers .

- 2A42 gun can fire armor-piercing and high-explosive shells , being able to destroy targets at the distances up to 2000 m and 4000 m , respectively. The gun has ammunition load of 500 shells.

- AG-30 AGL can fire three types of grenades , namely, VOG-17M, VOG-30, GPD-30, being able to destroy personnel targets at the distances up to 1700-2100 m .

- Berezhok can fire five types of Kornet munitions, namely anti-tank tandem-warhead 9M133-1/9M133-2 and anti-personnel thermobaric 9M133F-1/9M133F-2/9M133F-3 missiles. Kornet -E ATGMs can penetrate 1000-1300mm armour behind explosive reactive armour (ERA), being able to eliminate targets at the distances up to 5500 m .

B05Ya01 is equipped with independent sights of commander and gunner, allowing them to work in 'hunter-killer' mode . The gunner`s sight has four channels: optical, thermal imaging, laser rangefinder and ATGM control channel . The commander has received panoramic sight with laser rangefinder and television channel . Berezhok can be installed on either BMP-1 or BMP-2 IFVs.

hehe You can never kill the spirit and enthusiasm of a conspiracy theorist, people will just find another loophole...Like for e.g. all the foreign military sales or aid given by the US government have been publicized from the go, immediately the tender notice was given... It took months or even years sometimes for oders to be delivered.. But for the case of this AH-1F there is virtually no information from any official source, those pictures are the only proof, it appears they are in Kenya already... So if it has been happening secretly since day one when they were ordered, Imagine what can happen with the Russians interms of secrecy, we wouldnt even know! haha

Some attack helicopters of Russian origin were tested in Kenya ( Ka 50/ Mi 28), however i do not know whether they carried on and procured them.

Me too , maybe other factors came into play like ability to carry out maintenance and ensuring serviceability, the air force would be much more capable in those areas

everything is wrong with a trainer being used in combat roles. its not right it only shows that the air force is unserious with its defense.

At the maximum a trainer can only carry two 250kg bomb with two rocket pods. with that bombload how many aircraft or how many sorties do you think you would need before you put an enemy base out of commission?

He knows nothing about armament and aircraft. He's just a fanboy. The Nigerian l39 and A-Jets carry have carried out bombardment with bombs over 250kg and he's here saying a trainer can only carry 250KG bombs.

it can be used for light support and the pics were taken during media open doors ( for both L 39 nigerian and algerian pics ) , its only to display all its capacity , i think nigeria air force use more alphajets , f7s , mi 35s in its operations against boko haram
