But the army allowed the police to carry out the arrest and investigation instead of taking laws into their hands.

Irrespective of how anybody looks at this, it is an act of indisciple and should not be condoned in any civilised society. We are not in a banana republic where anything goes. We have laws in this country. I expect an enquiry to be set up as any civilised people will do and erring personnel be sanctioned appropriatly. We are not in a military regime which in itself is an aberation. The military should do their acts in the barracks which are created for them and they must be civil when they come out. Anything short of this is stone age stuff.
