yes dear, there is more to the story. Illegal mining of gold otherwise called 'gallamsey' in that country is rampant and grossly damaging their environments. The new govt having decided to tackle the issue is being opposed by those who prey on the illegality. So soldiers where sent to all the regions that produce gold in the country to put a stop to the gallamsey. The handsome captain was killed by bad eggs who felt that their source of revenue is being blocked.

There is nothing more to the story. Assembly member means state house of assembly, like Desmond Elliot is representing Surulere. The man in question must have been a rascal or a thug in his youth.

It is the jungle justice spirit that overtook them, a similar thing happened in my area and some men that I know who are in the late 40s and married with kids participated in almost beating a burglar (not armed robber, he just came with pliers) to death before police came.

May his soul rest in perfect peace. No to jungle justice but the military man should have known better. The best form of identification these days is an ID card not displaying a pistol while putting on mufti. I would have suspected him too and reported him to the appropriate authority not those thugs.

It was the army that did the job o. They invaded the community and arrested everyone ,gave them serious beatings and quickly everyone started pointing out those who participated in the killing. You can watch how the army punished the ppl on youtube. But the whole nation is sad about the captain death and shatta sang a song for man . Everyone is seeking the harshest punishment for the perpetrators

Francis Bio, a 46-year-old resident of Denkyira-Boase and a prominent character in the widely circulated video of the lynching Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama was found dead on Thursday afternoon.

Even though police in the area indicate that they have commenced investigations into circumstances that led to his death after the body in a pool of blood, conflicting reports suggest the deceased may have taken his own life by stabbing for fear of facing off with the law.

“I believe he killed himself because he was seen clearly in most of the footages that went viral on social media and mainstream media” a security officer in the area disclosed to mynewsgh.com on grounds of strict anonymity.

The body was found at Modase, a nearby community in Denkyira-Boase in the Central Region.

“The Assemblyman for Modaso, one Isaac Aidoo lodged a complaint with the Diaso Police informing them about the discovery of the body of a male adult in front of an uncompleted building at the outskirts of the town.

“According to the Assemblyman, his body was found this morning when residents from the community woke up”, a Joy Fm report disclosed.

The death of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama still remain a mystery and a shock to the country with sections of the view that it was all planned by the residents led by the assemblyman for the area William Baah who has been remanded into prison custody along 6 others to reappear in a fortnight.

Yeah, you are right in some aspect,he was posted there to combat illegal mining in that area...So i don't by the mistake identity story,because they he was but still went ahead to attack him....
That officer was posted there three weeks ago,and he is regular jogger on that route.

my point is if he has been in the area for 3 weeks, why was he asking for directions from the woman who raised the alarm?

The killing was senseless and barbaric, but going for a routine jog with an official pistol .....

look at the swift response the Ghanaian authorities gave the case. if na naija soljas go done ransacked the whole community
