We are looking for a FLEET OFFICER in a leading transportation company in Lagos state. The job duties for this position include:

• Directs, assigns and monitors the activities of busmen assigned to buses under his fleet
• Ensures all buses in his fleet are safe to operate at all time to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Generates detailed records and reports as required concerning his fleet.
• Make recommendations that would improve the efficiency and effectiveness of his fleet.
• Responsible for cost saving decisions on buses/busmen in his fleet vis-à-vis day to day running of the buses.
• Monitor and review attendance of busmen in his team.
• Determines day to day maintenance and repair priorities, both scheduled and unscheduled, to ensure most efficient use of time and resources.
• Investigating and reporting accidents, as required.
• Ensure compliance with fuelling schedule.
• Carryout breathalyser random test on busmen as at when due.
• Analysing all dockets on a daily basis to measure compliance
• Communicates effectively with Route Inspectors / shelters to check compliance of busmen with directives
• Ensures proper check of buses when rolling in and out to ensure all-round effectiveness of the buses.
• Follow up with maintenance department on the status of any faulty or broken down buses
• Ensures up to date information on each bus is disseminated to the Head of Operations
• Liaise with the control room for update on the buses rolled out
• Analyse all trip analysis form of the busmen daily.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Education: HND/BSC in a relevant discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with high level of interpersonal skills.
• Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast paced environment
• Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality
• Dependable and punctual
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Word and Excel.

A highly matured, smart and detailed male is required for this role. You must be ready to work on shift. i.e; Morning, Afternoon and Night. The candidate must be focused and very patient.
