I disagree, if you are caught in regards to fraud in America, you are prosecuted based on the number of attempts or victims, the boy is facing up to eight charges and he'll serve jail time for each charge if not careful.

I don't know about the law proceedings but once they book you the first time your a first time offender. I watch law and order a lot yes you may have history and unsolved cases that they can tie the person to but the first count is what they book you the first key evidence or case they have against you in this case Grand theft then subsequently adding additional charges as applicable . Once your in the system and records its hard to get out it's your first time going in that's why they ask for fingerprint when we travel to run it against all major crimes databases.

Sometimes I will encourage you to watch the show it has taught me so much about the justice system and how to stay away from anything that will bring you through it. Permanent record means when you travel them go know who you be.

We are talking about two different things. What you are talking about is a first time offender in terms of criminal law while I'm talking about him being a professional at this and doing it multiple times. Either way he's going to face the wrath of the law but you are right they might lessen his sentence due to no prior criminal history grin
