hello everyone. Please help me with a small tenant-landlord issue. Help move to the appropriate section abeg.

My landlord sent his agents with a court summon. I told them me and him spoke last night and had settled amongst ourselves for me to move out. They said in that case, no need to appear before a court. They asked how many days do I neèd to move, i said they should serve me the number of months due me by law, which is 6 months- ofcos i don't intend on staying that long n I know it isnt free. They didn't look happy about it. They then say I MUST PAY THE 6 MONTHS NOTICE IN ADVANCE.

Please, can anyone help inform me on this: does the law require me to pay in advance the stipulated months given me as notice?

No way. Do not pay kobo. Let them take you to court.

just leave the man's house nah. why would you need 6 months to move. that is wickedness. If you can't pay rent anymore, just move from the house.

What if the op can't find accommodation fast enough? Which one is wickedness in this one now

Yeah. Its indeed wickedness. But you don't know me. I was sitting jejely n was told to move out immediately. Now, that's what you should call wickedness. Your comment however, is noted
