you have no idea. When you say loan....I'm sure most people are thinking in the millions. But there are so many micro finance banks, thrift groups, cooperative societies out there.....especially for women into small businesses. And you will be amazed at the ease of access to these small loans.

The only catch is the cut neck interest rates.

You don't know who I am, do you? FYI I am an auto technician (for modern cars) and an aspiring web and graphics designer, backend and front end developer. I was even invited to Europe by my uncle, but I told him no, I will go to Europe on my own terms. I even discussed about it on this very forum, where I asked people wheather it will be wise to go to Europe blindly. Yes That is me. I am trying to set up a firm of my own.

Look, my friend there is dignity in labor, I sold pure water in 2010, later I sold Okrika (used clothing), while selling Okirika, I learned to repair cars, by affilliating with a work shop and watching YouTube videos, I started from somewhere. I am not ashamed to say it. Mind you, I did not attend any university, not that I don't have the brain, it just wasn't my thing.

I wasn't WORKING FOR THEM, I Was an APPRENTICE, and came when I could. They did NOT pay me a dime. I was there because I needed to touch and feel the cars and their parts just as I saw on YouTube.

I have passion for what I do. I'm a data analyst in the power sector. But a country that makes other people go into entrepreneurship because of frustration and not passion is failed. And for the first thing to come out of your brain to be yahoo or laborer shows how you think. I'm harping on your father because I think he's an id1ot to bring another id1ot into this world. I have passion for data analytics, numerical analyst, project management, renewable energy, poetry, prose, music, and electricity distribution logistics.
But that wasn't what the post is about. It's about misconceptions people have going into entrepreneurship which I happen to agree due to experiences with some acquaintances. And I stated that a lot of people especially in Nigeria presently go into it not out of passion but belief of lack of choice. So I'm yet to understand what concerns this with my own passion. Please enlighten me on how it affects the opening post.

Abandon not abandoned. Standard of education has really gone to the dogs in this country. This one now will say he is a graduate.
