Bingo Dry Food For Dogs From UAC - What Do You Think? by uboma(m): 8:46pm On May 29, 2017
I recently had to purchase a bag of Bingo dry food for my puppy because I could not afford Jojo dry food at the time.

Upon opening the bag, I was appalled by the bad smell oozing out of the bag.

The oil used in making the food smells really bad. My heart goes out to the dogs whose owners feed them with such unhealthy food all in the name of cutting costs.

I wonder why UAC, a supposedly reputable company, should produce such substandard dog food. Do we have any government agency that should regulate and sanction UAC for producing such substandard food for dogs?

Even if I have to deny myself some level of comfort for the time being, I will visit Shoprite by tomorrow to get some bags of Jojo dry food for my puppy.

Give them eba and stop wasting money. My ekuke is 15 years old and still ever gallant. I'm pretty sure he'd be dead if we raised him on jojo dog food and bingo dry grin

I had the same experience, though my puppy eats the food well. There was maggot in the bag of food with small insects. Though I had to take pains to sun the food and got rid of the maggot and insects and rebagged it. But unfortunately air entered the food so it lost the crunchy feeling. Still dey give the dog sha. I just feel the stock I bought has been on ground for ages.

Sincerely Bingo dog food is crap. I couldn't get diamond from the stores recently so i decided to try it a little... My puppies had blood in their "watery" poop after persuading them to eat it, despite even mixing it with other regulars.
So i stopped it on the puppies and decided to try it on my adult dog... The same thing, "Scary Bloody Poop", she was so weak i had to inject her.

What year did UAC started the production of Bingo dry food for dogs?

Bingo dog food is unhealthy for our dogs.

Hmmm

Very scary.

I will notify UAC via their twitter handle about this thread.

This rubbish has to stop.

All Bingo dog food should be recalled by UAC.

In as much as i have experienced most of what you guys are going through, i would like to chip in some little points. When i bought a bag of binggo puppy food i also noticed the loose and smelly stool in my pups but it stopped over time.. Truth is when transitioning a dog to a new brand of dog food it should be done gradually, you should'nt feed diamond puppy or arion all through a dogs life and then suddenly introduce binggo cos it will cause digestive upset or stomach trouble. To transition, mix your dog's current food with his new food. Over 7 days, gradually decrease the amount of the current dog food while increasing the amount of new dog food. Even though Diamond or Binggo cannot be relatively compared in terms of quality i think they will still keep your dogs healthy over time.

I understand that perfectly, in fact when i was switching from Arion to Diamond i had similar issues, bloody diarrhea. But it stopped over time. I tried introducing the bingo to them gradually also, but it just doesn't work. Give them one grain of the kibble and poof... Bloody diarrhea.
Just doesn't work for me yet

Personally i've not witnessed bloody diarrhea when i transition to a new feed.. Bloody diarrhea most times isn't as a result of change in the type of feed, Sometimes it's caused by worms. How often do you deworm your dogs bro?

Please do not deviate from the points I raised.

No one is arguing about the noticeable changes associated with sudden change to another feed for our dogs.

Bingo dog food smells badly and is not healthy for the overall health of our dogs.

Bingo dog food is too oily and not healthy for our dogs.

Bingo dog food attracts insects like cockroaches, hence shouldn't be fed to dogs at all.

I have nothing against UAC but I won't keep quiet over this.

Bingo dog food is poisonous to our pets.

Bingo used to be a cheap and reliable replacement for diamond after arion became unavailable, raised about 2 litters with it wonder what happened. Guessed maybe it got pirated or something. Booster and pedigree are cheaper and very good ones to use atm

I do not buy an item (no matter how small it may be) without first considering the production and expiry dates.

The Bingo dog food I bought is not expired and it's wrapper was very much intact at the point of purchase.

Are you telling me that Bingo dog food does not have a bad smell?

Are you implying that the Bingo dog food is not oily?

It's quite easy to know what you are feeding your dog, there should be transparency, check attachment below and do more research online, it's just like us humans you want to know fully what goes in your food.

.

I had similar experience last year October or so, I later returned it after two weeks to where I bought it at Agege area of Lagos and the seller refunded my money. She even said they have received series of complaints from customers about quality of this product that they will forward same to the company.

Thanks for this info. I was just thinking of trying it again after buying Booster at 17k last week.

I understand how you feel. Although your personal view or claim is not or may not be the general view. I recently switched from Booster to Binggo and ive not had any issue with it. I must agree that their feeds are oily but the individual kibbles look just fine and crunchy. You should probably check it out with your vendor or report to UAC. It could also be a bad batch - happens sometimes. Cheers

Bingo dog food may be cheaper but not healthy for dogs.

So what is the point saving extra cash now when in the long run, one may end up spending more than he bargained for because the substandard Bingo dog food was used?

I bought Jojo dog food for puppy 8kg bag for NGN14,616.99

My puppy loves it and what else can I give her if not the best

When I got my first bingo dry food I thought the food was bad cos it was badly packed and it was smelling.so I later got to another store and I got another pack.i noticed a difference inside the blue package there is another black nylon in and this particular one was nice and strong.so what I think is that some other people are producing substandard ones and floating it in the market.we just have to be sure of what we are buying.

Bros, the 8kg bingo food i bought for my dog is good and smells nice and the dog really love it. It was well packed in a blue polythene bag with black inner nylon. I guess the one you bought is an adulterated one cos i know UAC food is a reputable organization.

Get adventurous, try diamond or booster, or Royal canine for 2 months on one of your dogs while continuing bingo on the others. Examine after 2 months max. You'll discover what injustice has been done to the growth of your dogs so far

If everyone is like you, Nigeria will continue to be a country where anything goes.

I have nothing personal against UAC but having experienced the unhealthy effect their poor quality food had on my dog, I am obligated to air my displeasure with the primary aim that UAC sees this and improve on their dog feeds in the future.
