In your dreams, have you ever considered yourself more knowledgeable than me

That is abuse of office.... Governors suggesting that holiday are supporting anarchy.
Abiola committed treason, usurping the Supreme Military Commander's powers and declaring himself President.
He had no respect for constituted authority and so; deserves no reverence.
But its ok for ur ipob wailers to declare sit-at-home? Did u cry when dey declare sit-at-home in the east?

The Ogun people I know will never honor public holiday for such reason.

Even with all the cane Abiola received at Kuje, the Ogun people I know will go about their routine skull mining business on that day. cheesy

Wait, nobody is even talking about Oba of Ife again. If this one die now, they'll also do public holiday for him on June 13 grin

he could have given up on d mandate freely given to him by d majority of Nigerians and probably still alive till today, just like Obasanjo and co.But he chose to lay down his life, endure d imprisonment for democracy to be birth. His wife was also assassinated and his business went down greatly. He lost everything and eventually lost his life.He deserves it from Nigeria.Ojukwu would have deserve same honour but after leading 3 millions of his people to early grave,he abandoned them, feared for his life and left them with Nigeria and ran away.He wanted to be president at all cost, still came back to same Nigeria u fought and contested but lost woefully even in his region, which means they didn't even reference him. There is a big difference btw these two great nigerians----for those that were comparing them.
remember karma remember what abiola did to awolowo he even use his plane to campaign for shagari against una papa Awo,remember how he sponsor coup remember how he embezzle ITT money remember what fela say about abiola, afonjas love abiola this much but when Unilag was renamed moshood abiola university afonja students rejected it,remember apapa road was renamed moshood abiola road till today nobody agree to call it so,

This shows that we have "dose wey bi sheep and dose wey bi goat" in Nigeria. I am saying this because, Ogun state government declare june 12 public holiday because of what IBB did to thire son MKO which is only one person, FG did not deploy even PEACE CORP and no body comment, but when souteast declared may 30th public holiday for those died during the Nigeria/Biafra war, FG deploy the whole ZOMBI we have and entire Nigeria reacted.

Do we have so many kids on NL now or they are deliberately claiming ignorance?

June 12 has been public holiday since year 2000 in south west when the federal government under Obj declared May 29 as democracy day against the SW wish to have June 12 declared as democracy day.

For those equating a public holiday for sit-at-home protest, well may God grant you the wisdom to know the difference.

One is to honour the start of the struggle from the military, sacrifices were involved, the whole of Nigeria was involved, and is decleared by the governors ,the other was a form of revolt by someone who is not a constituted authority, the Igbo governors didn't support it.

Wasting words is not necessary on one who has decided to call "day", night by reason of selective bias!

Even those of us from other regions can not deny the impact of the man. if his mandate was not 'snatched' for instance, it is very certain Nigeria wouldn't be in this messed up state. Ken Saro Wiwa, for example, might not merit a National or even State holiday but you can't deride him anyhow and expect us to dey siddon look. Na Social Media God take epp some people. You no fit come our corner troway diss give legend like Adaka boro or even Tompolo and escape but as per na phone-typing levels nah, nothing do you...everybody just find mouth dey clack teeth anyhow.

I am very sure you are an illiterate but let me educate you on how it goes, there are many forms of insurgence but under every rule especially the military it is called treason now it could be a just fight like that of the great ken saro wiwa who was genuinely fighting for his people and which can't be referred to as insurgence much because he didn't use weapons or physically attack government officials. In the case of tompolo when he became recognized and rich didn't he relocate to abuja with his family? ND is still suffering till date but you are too blind to see your brother abandoned you and you keep fighting the government. Ibori wanted to use delta state as collateral from oceanic bank before he was arrested but you gave him a hero's welcome. Brother ,ND has a lot of money but your leaders steal those money and use it to develop,Dubai ,London, etc and when they get arrested you take to the street and start shouting witch hunt. Illiteracy is a disease think before you act or talk.denziani was the chairman or president of OPEC do you know what that means at all? But she didn't give a hoot or a rat %&%king @ss about you.the money alameseha stole can transform the whole of bayelsa state and make it look like Dubai but he choose to carry that money and develop UK and here you are fighting the FG.and lastly I'm not biased at all because I know what it means for you, me and the coming generation if the whole of Nigeria becomes infrastructurally developed.
