These formations suppose to parade the finest of men but in Nigeria, thugs got recruited based on so many mundane considerations. Now we have found ourselves at a crossroad. Naval ratings who would run away from militants usually find their strength when it involves civilians. UNIOSUN is a case study. If I were in position to recommend, it would be for all the guys involved to be court-martialled and dismissed. There's urgent need to have these forces purged of ill-bred, ill-mannered individuals to restore the unsullied image the force had.
