I have said it before - and I will say it again. These Discos are purveyors and dispensers of corruption. They are experts at billing for darkness! And when they bring their grossly inflated bills for electricity they barely supplied, they still have the temerity to cut off power supply to your residence, despite the fact that they have given you more darkness than light.

Eko Disco wins the award for issuing fraudulent estimated bills. From 18,000 naira monthly bill in January, they suddenly inflicted a 35,000 monthly bill on us in May. Meanwhile, we did not buy any new electronic gadget since beginning of this year, our consumption pattern has not changed, and power supply was worse in May. May God punish EKEDC every single day of this year!

Meanwhile, my pre-paid meter went bad since December last year, and I have reported it times without number. Where do we take faulty pre-paid meters to be repaired? Eko Disco has turned a deaf ear to such pleas. The thunder that will fire all their management, is still doing press up at the edge of the Marina.

no it did not give bro... ministry of power, nerc and even costumers are the reason for the outregious bill looking from the genesis! 1st nerc and ministry of power, how can you sell an electricity as little as 20MW to a city like kogi state at the rate of hundred millions of naira where you know that an average kogi man cannot even pay a bill of n5000 at end of a month is very challenging for discos and for costumer whom use to carryout illegal connections in some areas!!! discos billed base on there boundary meter to meet up the amount, if you cant pay, you wil b disconnected from network. if you dnt know some places in nigeria enjoy 24hrs unterupted power supply and they stil hav to battle with discos officials for a long period of time before paying up there bills.. is unfair

This is a good move by SERAP. thumbs up for SERAP and by this move i sure think the DISCOS will be hammered to the corner. The DISCOS are criminals milking the masses dry. I pray this works by compelling the discos to give prepaid meters. we must all speak out by supporting serap.

The DISCOS never intended to make substantial investments but saw the whole exercise as a great opportunity to reap Nigerians off. Guess what?
Those who are supposed to protect the masses are winning and dinning with the 'vampires'!

The DISCOs are a bunch of crooks, specifically, IKEDC is rogue company. They once brought prepared meters to my estate and took them back, they never returned to install them. 70% of the residents are on estimated billing. March 2015, I received a bill of 21,000 for a 2 bedroom apartment which I never paid till date, this is exclusive of so many outrageous bills they've been bringing monthly.

One of their officials once told me the cost of energy they receive is shared amongst the metered and non-metered customers, with estimated billing customers taking a larger chunk of the cost.

SERAP should provide a platform where aggrieved Nigerians can provide some sort of support for that suit, a lot of people will jump on it I believe.

Start by using your votes correctly, start from the grassroots. If you are a righteous person, engage your community, participate in politics. Help your neighbor, do not cheat or cut the system, when we change as people and embrace humanity then we can automatically elect righteous leaders who will make or amend our laws to favor the masses not the corrupt 1%. If you think suing the government is a wise move in this current judicial system then by all means start fetching water with a broken calabash.

You are comparing apples with oranges. Suing FRSC is not the same as suing the Ministry of Works or Housing or even the Federal government like Tinubu did in the past, but let's even assume it is, it will be tough for any lawyer to prove that incompetency or ineffectiveness is the same as a Constitutional breach. If not, we all should have sued LAWMA, LASTMA, FAAN and so on

I paid for two per paid meters almost getting two (2) years now and am yet to get even one and you people are expecting free meter. I laughter. Lolz ur laugh is laughing me
