MY BELOVED BIAFRANS Akinniyi Lateef Samson Why do we want to secede Is it because of our oil Which type of oil Is it Palm oil or crude oil I am sure it cannot be crude oil Because South South has more crude oil than us,And we are almost at the same level with the West Certainly it is not because of oil Maybe because of marginalisation Are we really marginalized Why didn't we ask for secession during GEJ Wait o let us look back from 1999 Have we had Senate Presidents What about powerful Ministers CBN Governor Chief of Army Staff Petroleum Minister Finance minister (although Delta Ibo) Aviation Minister Head of FRSC Minister of Labour Secretary to the Federal Government Deputy Senate President Deputy Speaker NAFDAC (We are missing mama Dora) And many more Despite all these big portfolios Did they bring any meaningful development to our region Did all these people better our region Or accumulated wealth for themselves And bought properties in abroad for themselves Maybe our state Governments were denied federal allocation by the Federal Government The answer would always be NO Still on marginalisation Who is marginalizing who How many of our brothers from the West or North posted for NYSC to our region Actually stayed back after their service To start a life in a strange land Are we really accommodating like others How many Westerners have shops in Onitsha How many Northerners have houses in Nnewi But we are in every nook and cranny of every region Others accommodated us We get jobs in their regions We set up businesses up across the country We have even claimed Lagos to be ours We have one of us as an elected Honorable Are we really marginalized Even in our BIAFRAN land Are we not marginalizing one another If we get the BIAFRAN of our dream Are we not going to intimidate and treat my brother from Ebonyi as a second class citizen Will my brother from Anambra not claim he is superior to us because Ikemba was from there Will my Enugu brother not remind us of Enugu how was the capital of all Ibo land Will there not be another civil war among we BIAFRANS |

Ronaaldo:You say? EEDC over bills folks in Enugu. Person no go get light for im one room apartment, and at the end of the month, he gets a bills of hundred and something thousand, when the only appliance in his house is probably a TV, bulbs and such. |

EEDC is not living up to expectations. I support any change that will lead to its improvement. |

Ronaaldo:you are really sick. Where do u live? It seems u don't live in Nigeria cos if u do, u would know that EEDC's performance has nothing to do with wawa and Anambra. U still have that kind of stereotype typical of old people who would judge based on their family or clan instead of judging the individual as one person |
| Re: Fashola Angry With Enugu Legislators Action On Eedc by PrettyGaby(f): 11:39am On Jun 13, 2017 |
Victorclean1:It has absolutely nothing to do with who owns it. The average 'wawa' man does not know who owns EEDC but is dissatisfied with the services. People are made to pay for light they did not consume. The truth is they are not doing well. Let's call a spade a spade and leave state of origin out of it. |

MaziOmenuko:Please you have made valid points. Privatizing sounds nice as a development strategy but not when it leads to handing over enterprises to people who have no idea how to run a business. Jonathan committed blunders here and most of these issues cropped up while he was still in charge. |

showlove911:It is unfortunate that many of you young folks do yourselves in with stupid and illogical reasoning rather than rational thinking to issues. Fashola stands nothing to gain in EEDC's plight beyond how it affects power distribution to the consumers and on a sustainable basis. If the state government can owe a company N2.6b, how do you want the company to survive as a going concern talk-less of doing good business. That is the crux of the matter here. Your resort to "rocket science" speech (which was stated and serves another context) is ridiculous Why don't you start by processing an ideal situation that Enugu state government settles the N2.6b, so that EEDC can inject such into the business to grow it and be able to give better service |

Copied as received The Ibos want Biafra The North wants Ibo's exit The Yorubas want Ibo's exit The Ibos are saying "we have investments in your areas and cannot leave them" And the fight is being cooked. Amongst all these, the President is in London Governors are sharing bailout funds Workers salaries are not paid Government officials have their children schooling abroad Ministers and senators are looting The poor Hausa man is riding Okada The poor Ibo man is riding Okada The poor Yoruba man is riding Okada The poor Hausa man sleeps under the bridge as Alamajiri The poor Yoruba man sleeps under the bridge as Alaye The poor Ibo man sleeps under the bridge as agbero It is pertinent to note that the poor from all ethnic groups in Nigeria have everything in common and so is the rich. Do not allow the agitation of an Ibo man who lives in UK or USA for Biafra cause the killing of the Ibo man in Adamawa. The rich hate us that much. Do not allow the Alhaji whose children are living abroad to persuade you to go and start killing on the street of Kaduna. The problem in the country is not the agitation of any ethnic group but the unity of the elite and the disunity of the masses. How many times have you taken your agitation to question your local government Chairmen? Why have you not asked your Governors through agitation how they spent bailout fund? Why have you not agitated against that government official whose mansions you go to beg for help? Sad to note; All the Governors love themselves All the past Presidents love themselves All the senators love themselves All the top government officials love themselves All the looters love themselves. To further confirm this assertions, check the list of those that were presence at the burial of Obanikoro's mother. Why can't you and I love ourselves? Why can we combine efforts and fight them? Why do we fight ourselves? Why do we allow them the freedom we don't have? Remember; a good Nigeria is better than a good Arewa, Oduduwa or Biafra. Happy June 12 Anniversary |

KaptainAfrika:What sort of stupid logic is this, so an established debt will only be settled only after additional debts would have been incurred. Sometimes, you guys deserved all the economic hardship you are going through and worse much. |
| Re: Fashola Angry With Enugu Legislators Action On Eedc by mapet: 12:20pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
KaptainAfrika:This statement is not a responsible one in any form. Debt owed is from services already consumed. How can people enjoy a prior service, refuse to pay and now precondition such payment on new service? |
| Re: Fashola Angry With Enugu Legislators Action On Eedc by MaziOmenuko: 12:39pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
Akainzo:Oga, is N2.6bil the reason EEDC is not giving power to the entire SE which includes Abia, Imo, ANambra, Enugu and Ebonyi? So because Enugu state govt owes EEDC N2bil, people at Abakiliki, Umuahia, Owerri and Awka shouldn.t have light? And doesn't it reek of incompetence when an accumulated bill rises up to that amount? If it was an individual that owes them N1k, they will hasten and disconnect him, why didn't they do same to Enugu govt? All these are just white-washed excuses; EEDC is a total failure and huge disappointment. It would have been better if the government of Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra and Imo pulled resources and bought the DISCO just like the South-South states did rather than leave it in the hands of a frugal business man with zero knowledge of customer satisfaction. |

Just 2.6billion? And who will pay for the damages that epileptic power supply has caused?... Talk about those who die due to electric cables falling on humans, those who die from generators fumes, those who die on emergency wards of hospitals all due to inadequate power.. Who can qualify that in monetary terms? |
