I was chatting with my good friend when he popped up this question.I am not much rooted in this religious stuff, so I asked him to give me time so I could ascertain for him. Assuming he masturbates around 5 a. M ,then sleeps off and wakes around 7 a. M.Then wants to say his morning prayer, please is it something advisable or must he stop praying until he sanctifies himself by confession.

How about praying for forgiveness of the sin you committed at 5 a.m.? That's what I would do if I didn't know that prayer is bullsh*t and mere talking to oneself.

He should confess the sin he did that's all. Probably he's battling with masturbation, he should seek counsel to enable him over come. There's nothing wrong praying by 7a. m after coming such act because we sin on per secs. He should just ask for forgiveness from Yahweh that's all as there's no repentance in the grave. Yahweh sees the heart and knows when someone truly repent of his sins

Now, lets look at it this way. Is your friend a believer? because, if he is not, let's just leave it at that. The prayer of a sinner doesn't leave his roof.

But if he is and is still struggling with the flesh its a different matter all together.

If he was into Fornication heavily before getting saved, but now is self-servicing, he needs to submit that aspect of him for crucifixion.

It's like a little babe who is being born, it goes through stages before he becomes an adult. His parents will understand when he poos, pees, and vomits on itself. They'll clean him up.
When he gets to an age when he shd use a potty, they'll train him to do so. Once it a while, he'll still poo where he shouldn't, an understanding parent should repeat the instruction rather than punish the kid.
It's a gradual process until he knows how messy it is to poo or vomit on one's self.

Now, every Christian is a baby to God. Every new convert is a child to God. Apostle Peter calls them 'New born babes who shd be fed with milk'. It doesn't matter how old in age the person maybe or how famous he/she maybe in terms of worldly status, he is still a baby.

Now, to your friend and his issue, i have a question for him, is he doing this as an habit or a weakness?

Again, tell your friend that sin comes with consequences. Masturbation is a portal for demon possession. When he, by himself opens a door for sex demons to possess him, when he begins to suffer the effect, he'll be the one who will fight for demons to leave him alone. God will forgive him, but when the demons will enter him, God will do nothing, for " He that breaks the hedge, the serpent will bite him".

your wisdom is very nice. we musn't take God for granted but do you think if that 'act' is temptation? do the urge come by temptation from the devil or just normall human thingy?
