Two options is left for buhari and APC government

Restructure or secession.

Arewa youth has proving how coward and how average dey think.

Do u no d sort of investment an hausa man holds in SS/SE?

Think of d oil blocks dey will loss?

If Para venture secession takes place and it pose going violent, since an hausa thinks everything is violent. D highest an SS/SE will do is to run living there investment.

But let me ask do u think an hausa man is free in SS/SE?

Do u no how poorly ur economy will be comparing to d South?

My problem with hausa dey still think like an animals in this modern world. (everything is kill and die)

If secession takes place the best thing to do is negotiate ur exist (go and learn from Britain currently)

D reason y there is a push for restructuring, is to make some state be active rather than be lazy. I don't Era of free money is gone and how to do that is to Restructure if not secession.

I am not comfortable seeing someone of your pedigree dropping your bias against Igbo as TRUTH & FACTS here, irrespective of the fact that you have our daughter as a wife...You simply tried to wittingly cajole neutrals against Biafra support and probably provide a resource material for those who feed off their hatred for Igbo ...Why didn't you recount what Nigeria stands to lose by Biafra exit? Why didn't you come clear with your fears as a middle belt man who maybe confronted with INCREASED daily realities of hausafulani intimidation Incase of Biafra exit? Why not try an unbiased comparative analysis of the pros and cons maybe then you will see what hope Biafra holds? Why write OUTRIGHT lies as facts here? Which of the civil service is dominated by Igbo? I am disappointed in you my boss...

Your son may grow tomorrow to read his father's bias and unfounded vituperations against his mother's side... internet remembers...Avoid writing or write when the FACTS are TRUTH not political or subjective truths.

Finally, though I will be happy to remain in a RESTRUCTURED Nigeria but the prospects of a Biafran country whose potentials you downplayed even limited their geographical boundaries and severed her families seems VERY much tempting and more appealing to me. Hence, I will pray again; Ka mmiri Biafra zosa mu na ndi Igbo nile wink (let the rains of Biafra fall over us and wash away the dirty memories of Nigeria ) Iseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!
he said "The Nigerian Civil service is dominated by Igbo's, comparative to their population nationally" you only read the first phrase anf ignored "comparative to their population"

Be more worried about your son reading his father's inability to comprehend

your write up is fine, though u lean a bit in favour of the north that I understand.

1. U know life can not be compared to any material acquisition by man. The mere fact that the life and property of an Igboman is not and might never be secured in the North, looking at current prevailing factors. This alone completely nullifies any economic benefit Igbos get from the North.

2.U didn't Mention that Igbos pay business and property/hotel taxes in those states, which help the economy of those states.

3. if Igbos withdraw their little investments in the north, the economy of those places will feel it as well.
4. who consume most of the farm produce from the North, remember we buy them, north dont give it to us for free. if they tax our products heavily, we also tax theirs.
5. Igbos will easily build another lagos in Abia, via Imo River to atlantic,
or in cross River and Akwa Ibom whom am very sure we gladly join the Igbos...Remember we are very close to central Africa, a bigger market than Lagos_ west Africa corridor.

6. what makes nations great is not natural resources, but Human capital development and financial capital, which u agree Igbos are not doing too badly in Both.

I want a restructured Nigeria, to true fiscal federalism, or back to regional(6 federating Regions) but if Fed govt persist in status quo, am afraid, Nigeria is not sustainable. therefore Biafra becomes the next viable option for all progressive minded Igbo Nation.

I tell u the truth, Biafra will be an aggressive success with freeminded Igbomen. Rather than compare Biafra with Sudan, I think u should look at countries like Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore. the Igboman share same spirit and mindset with people from these places ....surving against all odds

all the same welldone
i disagree with you on the bolded, im not certain that any ND state is ready/willing to follow Biafra..... think about it, if they do, who will be elected president and other major office holders........ND would claim they have the resources, Biafra would claim they fought for the freedom

and if i may ask how is the Ibo land close to central africa? i suggest u check ur map again to confirm this

No market is bigger than the lagos market.....remember population is a determinant in determining the size of any market

just saying anyway.........

Let's not lie to ourselves. You're just giving yourself unnecessary excuses, what hit up this Biafra agitation was not and will never be Buhari statement about 5% and 97%.

The Igbo shows this hatred on social media b4 the statement, infact even worst before he become the president.

Hiding under such statement is a prima facia
Stop being a simpleton, you must not comment on every thread; before your own I have read highly intellectualized writeups on this issue by some commentators. The aim of this topic is not about Igbos but about a wider Nigeria. Stop being too narrow minded huh huh and move to jokes column.

Nice one Mr Oche. I think you need to stop wasting your energy over this matter. I think this is the best time for the Biafra to leave so we can forge ahead as a nation. Enough of broua broua everywhere because staying beyond October 1st will worsen their case.

My opinion though.
Has Nigerian granted them autonomy to leave.

what do you mean by "leave". una think say secession easy? after october 1st any violence against them remains a crime in the nigerian state as they are nigerian citizens with the right to own property and live anywhere. Until Nigeria grants them autonomy and they take up biafran citizenship (thereby denouncing their nigerian citizenship), they have every right to live up north

I blame the Nnamdi Kanu, Buhari and Jonathan for all this.

well, lets start with federal and confederal before we talk about secession

. Yes, it took them that reason being every part of the world wasn't developed. You can call it medieval times if you so desire, but now, we have institutions that will help us navigate towards a better Nigeria in less than 100 years. But our wicked leaders who only think about themselves won't listen and the uneducated youths whose minds have been twisted are willing tools in their hands. Restructure this country and every region will be better. The North will make money from the indigbos doing business in their region but these psycophants won't listen. Something bigger than militancy n boko haram is coming if the cries for restructuring isn't heeded.

cite instances where the igbos showed hatred against the North and Buhari prior to his infamous 97 & 5% division?

Remember the Igbo supported Yaradua, and Obasanjo 100%.

Please I think it's high time we stopped this false and dubious categorization called North central. It doesn't even answer to plain geographical logic. We have North and South. So if we have North central, where is the south Central? Beyond that just take a look at this map and tell me where you think the states called North central are located. Are they not located in the center of this nation? Are they not in the middle of Nigeria? So why attach North to it? To call it North central is a huge geopolitical fraud and it has to stop. I am not from the North central. I am from the middle belt.
There is something evil about Nigeria and Nigerians. I just dont understand how good we all feel to miseducate our people even when facts, glaringly, say otherwise. now take a look @ the map. Can someone explain how south east was placed in the middle? my little knowledge of geography refused to agree with such arrangement. Honestly I fear the way things are done here

Op most of your arguements are based on economics. What many non-igbo nigerians do not understand is that ndi-igbo's #1 priority in life is not about making money, rather it is the freedom to pursue their God given destiny without artificial hinderance as curently obtains in Nigeria. The second issue is lack of fairness, equity and justice. Igbo culture and mindest is very strong on these issues.

These two issues is what is driving the agitation. Igbo businesses lost billions of naira by oberserving the sit at home, if its all about money they would have ignored the order.

Keep in mind that Hitler confisticated billions of dollars in jewish properties and busineses. The Jews lost everything they had worked hard to accumulate all over europe. Today some of the richest people in europe and the entire world are jewish, from Zuckerberg of facebook to Sergei Brin of google. Ndi Igbo will start from scrath if need be and still prosper greatly because its the culture and in their dna.

The solution is more autonomy to the regions so they can chart their own course and control their destiny.

My brother, I so much learnt how to draw the map of Nigeria and Africa as a geography secondary student back then but I was surprised and a bit confused when I looked at a copy of our map this morning and discovered that igboland popularly called East is actually embedded in the deep Southern part of Nigeria. However a senior professional colleague just explained to me that it was called East because the old Eastern region included cross rivers and rivers States which themselves have been birthed Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa state. But this is why our conversation has to change to reflect new realities. We are using old and stale language.
