please Seyewest I wanna ask you something here. I was denied visa last month ending and now my best friend will be getting married to an American citizen on August (though he has not gotten his visa yet but the lady has filed for him and wedding invitation already out). as my best friend he is considering me being his best man on the wedding day and also to support him on the wedding as their is no other person proposed or planning to be coming from here to the wedding which should be in America.
my question is this.... will it make any sense for me to reapply now with the sole purpose of the wedding since I was just denied last month ending for a Tourist visiting?(remember wedding is August)
please a swift response and advice from any guru here will be highly appreciated. thanks.

I'm very sorry this forum is strictly for those with U.S Visa and who are intending to travel or learn/share about POE experiences... my little take is forget about U.S for now if you don't attend the wedding will still take place.
Peace

Good evening...
please I got a marriage proposal to a black American through an uncle and I have never traveled , neither have any idea on how to process my documents... please any advice... although I told my fiancé to talk to an immigrants lawyer over there. but I still want to inquire beforehand.
thanks for the good job.
I'm sorry but as you can see this forum is strictly for those with U.S visit visa and whose intention is to share their POE.

You will have to explain what happened to the CBP officer and hope for the best especially since you've paid for the ticket and it's not refundable.

specific? how more can I be specific? what was the reason why you couldn't travel when you're suppose to travel? That should be your explanation.

Good day everyone. I must sincerely say i like and appreciate the good work everyone is doing here. Pls i need inputs and advise from everyone here on my little concerns below:
My usa visa will expire in Jan 2018 and i plan to travel 2nd or 3rd week in August(to Altanaga) and spend just 2wks for my vacation, hope this will not put me at risk at POE cos by that time my visa validity will not be up to 6months ?
Secondly i read something on this thread about QATAR airline/DOHA been covered by the travel ban, does it mean its not safe to travel with this airline cos its the cheapest that i know so far.

First of all traveling in August shouldn't be a problem because you still have like 5 months left on your visa...make your travel plan and about Doha..it's not true they're covered by travel ban it's laptop and tablet ban.. My cousin traveled through Doha last 2 month... no shaking buy the ticket.. have a safe Journey.

Hello, I got my visa in August 2015 for a conference, but due to my inability to get my annual leave approved then, i could not go for the conference, thus my visa has been unused since then. I have another conference (3 days) scheduled for july this year, would it be wise to use the visa which would expire in August 2017 or do a renewal through dropbox before it expires? Thanks.

Don't you think 2 month left on a visa is too risky what if they don't allow you in? you should do dropbox and travel if they renew it.

Thanks for your response, But does the numbers of months left on my visa determines if i would be granted entry or not? Since a visa can only take one to the port of entry and ones stay is determined by the CBP. A visa should be valid till the very last day of its validity.

True but what's stopping you from renewing it? you're free to go but I'm sure you won't be treated the same way with someone with more than 6 months on their visa and this is your first time.. everything about your moves scream ''I don't plan to return''

Maybe it's faded but mostly it's written with pen if not just calculate your arrival date and add 6 months to it.. you can't spend more than 6 months in the U.S anything after that is overstay and it's a serious offense.
