in civilized countries the rich don't pay taxes, they are given tax breaks upon tax breaks, only the poor Pay taxes. meaning that Nigeria is civilised.

in fact it's wrong for the rich to pay high taxes because it will hinder their business and the workers and before you know it people are out of work.

despite that that, go and check, the rich account for 70% of taxes, what you are talking about is that they dont pay the rate they should through avoidance schemes but nonetheless, despite avoidance schemes they still account for 60-70% of taxes in the Uk and US

I don't want to argue with you but there are multiple "legal" ways to avoid paying taxes and this is used by the rich so many times, if the rich were to pay higher taxes, it will hinder business and lead to Layoffs.

Taxes hinder businesses, that's the truth, I understand you but they aren't supposed to pay taxes the way you're proposing.

the problem is Nigerias rich pay NO taxes at all!!! The other day at the church event with peter Obi, the finance minister said there is only 1 Nigerian who pays more than 10m in taxes (I cant remember the exact figure but it was something ridiculous like that)

30k for graduates of accounting, mathematics, statistics, economics etc. This is the slavery of the highest order. Man dey suffer for this country o. The real jobs are for the connected in the society while crumbs are meant for common man on the street. God will surely judge and punish these wicked rulers.

The federal government can do better than this for its graduate population. But let still give it a trial.

We still give kudos to the federal government for creating jobs for poor Nigerians.

If President Jonathan had created similar jobs during his tenure, unemployment would have reduced. But Jonathan and corrupt pdp members were busy eating our money and feeding fat on us while we go hungry.

What is the fate of candidates that applied for FIRS recruitment last year since the Volunteers are going to perform similar roles with the Tax Officers?
