BellaElla:

good evening mamas
this post is dedicated to Stay at home mums that are feeling downhearted
i lost my job after my maternity leave. i resumed on a tuesday and was asked to stop on wednesday
OMG! how did i Feel? it was crazy
i had never stayed at home, i started working even before my graduation. 5 years experience, how was i to do?
all the plans we had made came tumbling down
Hubby was using all his salary for office contribution , we were runnig the house with mine, we had a building project ongoing
it was so unexpected......life was hard... all our savings were in the building project
But God helped us through....honestly sometimes i wonder how we survived these past six months
i think sometimes God allows us to go through these things so that we can learn to be strong
I did not have a choice but to find a way to drastically reduce expenses.
we survived on a bag of beans for almost 6 months.
we baked our bread, did our pap by ourself, we made coconut oil, buns, fishroll, meatpie.
My son kuku rejected cereal and was taking only pap.
i remember the day i cooked four soups without one meat, oh! Father bless my husband. He is a MAN! he ate without a word. we were yabbing ourselves.
i couldnt pay my househelp for months, still she stayed on, endured with us without complaint
I got a managerial job through nairaland this month. i applied on the 1st of june, was called for interview that day, resumed the next day.
Onise Iyanu! Who can comprehend your ways O Lord!
i realize now that God was preparing me for something greater, better, bigger! i now see that He wanted me to stay back and watch my son grow, bond with him, He knew i would soon be very busy.
When I was at my lowest, he came through, I had concluded plans with my help that we will make moimoi and she will go and sell in the market for me. The next day i got this job.
please enjoy the time you have while you are with your baby. learn all you can, do all you can.
process your ID cards, Voters Cards, Drivers License, Passport. Visit all those you need to visit.
you are on an extended maternity leave ! USE IT! You will miss your baby so much when you resume.
in my next post i will give my little piece on what i have learnt in my little career journey
Remain blessed mamas
patiently waiting

My baby had rashes but i apply Cacatin on her before putting on the diaper. I use moflix too but i think the cause of the rashes was that i wasn't changing the diaper as frequently as i should. But the rashes are gone now with the help of Cacatin
comtem2011:

This reminds me, I beg mamas using molfix for their kids, plsss, did you notice any reactions of late? Not at all! how are the twins?

Congratulations on your new job!

I agree with the above quote and it reminds me of one of my favourite quotes that "You don't know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have"

May God grant the heart desires of all mamas looking unto him for a new job or change of career or even some other personal desires. Amen!!!
A big Amen.

[quote author=comtem2011 post=57541153]Seems this size 5 is scarce everywhere,.

Mamas pls, at what age can a child stop wearing diaper to bed?

cc: all experienced mamas.[/quote
I think it's usually from 18 months and above depends on the child. My first was trained at 18 months while my 2nd was about 2 years plus

Ofada rice in the north here is the normal local rice while the one for tuwo chinkafa is the pure white rice, I think both are nutritious.

Hello mamas in the house pls I need recommendactions, my baby of 18 months is only taking milk with soy based from birth it was noticed he's allergic to cow milk. Pls can you recommend another soy milk apart from lsomil? Thank you mamas.

I know of alpro soya, but i do not know if you can get it in nigeria. Alpro also have other vegetable based milk like rice milk and almond milk. So these can be substituted for soy milk if you can find.

You could also try goats milk, if you can find. I hear it can be tolerated better. Or any lactose free milk ( although both may not be readily available or may cost half a kidney and 2 fingers) Nigeria is really bad at providing options.

Also have you considered making your own soy milk? I have seen recipes online.

You could get the dry beans and make once a week if you have good electricity, it should last in the fridge, some recipes also flavour it with vanilla pods and other serenren.

Might be a bit more stressful than the already prepared one, but it may be an option to explore if you are having issues with your regular brand.

Just my thoughts. Hope it helps

Molfix entered Nigeria around late 2013/early 2014. not 2016 o.

Though, I my boy has not been reacting to it since 2015 that we have been on it, but one thing I discovered lately about them is the gel just scattered anyhow unlike before. Why people patronised it more than others is because it has been glorified, I hardly see a baby without using molfix diaper but truth be told, the standard/originality has dropped/fallen/reduced. So, she knew what she talking about.

The size 5 is even scarce now, may be my area sha.

Okay. You may be right. Wasn't particularly sure about when it entered Nigeria. But one thing I'm very sure is that no other baby diapers sells as Molfix.

I have enough of the size five in my stores, the jumbo, eco and carry packs. Though, there was a time when the size five molfix was scarce as sausage roll inside gala.

Could be that the distributors in your area haven't gotten it. Still check back. You may see it this time.
