all south South and igbos should change their money into dollars right now.... Those that experienced the first war will tell you that they got only 20 Nigerian pounds after the war. Following the ultimatum of Arewa youths, the same thing is being plotted again. Except that it will happen before any war and not after. When and if violence breaks out in the north, they know Igbos will retaliate. The first things is that they will claim banks cannot opendue to insecurity, but bank will function normally in the north. Eventually when it becomes too dangerous for any Igbo to venture into the north to operate their bank accounts, they will order the banks in the Igbo areas to close up completely, effectively trapping your money in Nigerian banks and will be seized. Then they will change money to make sure any money you have in your possession is useless. Using the instrument of the Federal Government, some people now in government are already plotting how to confiscate your money in the bank. Those with hefty sums should begin to convert some of their assets into foreign currency immediately, or open up bank accounts in other foreign countries. DO IT NOW TO AVOID STORIES THAT TOUCH |

Newmanluckyman: drnoel:North: 58 Senators, 191 Reps South: 51 Senators, 169 Reps Politics requires numbers, the easiest way to gather numbers is to unite. The north may have more numbers than the south in principle, but it's an insignificant difference. The middle-belt is a fertile battle ground, with a little politicking (a.k.a. reaching out/alliances/bribing), legislators from places like Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Plateau can easily be swayed and removed from those northern numbers. Removing the 11 Reps from Benue alone and adding that to the south equalises the northern and southern numbers. So enough of this 'north have more legislators' overused argument, what they have is 'unity' not numbers. Regarding the bill, this isn't even about the north, it's about the hundreds (if not thousands) of Niger-Delta communities that would be included in the benefits by virtue of including 'pipeline bearing' communities in the list of 'host communities.' The north may not have even needed to fight for this at all. |

obailala:I hardly doubt if you have been to the host communities. Every community listed there has either a producing wellhead or untapped reservoirs. Going by what u are saying almost every community in SS and SE ll become a host community cos pipelines pass through almost every one of them |

You dey here dey cry for ND because you see 'north', meanwhile people wey u dey cry for no dey cry. |

obailala:Sir, with due respect but if we have to go by your interpretation, then we can assume that every part of Nigeria is apparently a host community, because pipelines are everywhere. bear in mind when people say host community, that very host community is under a particular LGA. the system of govt is federal, state and LGA. so when you hear host community, remove your mind from the community and place your mind on the LGA where that community is located.

addictiv:Well, that's what I'm seeing just like you. The new development gets to include many more southern communities in the feast. I wouldn't be surprised if it is these numerous other southern communities that fought to include this in the bill. But obviously, all we mostly see from this report is that some communities in the 'north' will benefit from PIB. |

trinity11:I am not the one making the laws, so if it doesn't make sense, direct that picture to the right quarters. I only explained it the way I read it from the Op. And from my understanding of what I read, far more communities in the south would now be included as host communities. The essence of my comment was to clarify that we all seemed to miss the big plot by being fixated only on the few northern communities that were included. |

obailala:This is when you will realize that most SW SINators have sold their heart to the North based on religious ground(Islam). Now subtract all SW SINator who are Muslim then give us your figure, maybe we can start from there. Second paragraph Bear in mind that an average northerner see SS & SE as infidels, so I strongly doubt if they will actually do something good for their infidels with any hidden agenda. |
| Re: PIB: Kano, Kaduna, Lagos Listed As Host Communities by Newmanluckyman(m): 12:58pm On Jun 16, 2017 |
obailala:...You are contradicting yourself. First, you admit that 'numbers 'matters, secondly, you came up with let's ignore the number. All I see in your arguments are hypothesis and assumptions. If you think that middle belt will go against the interest of the northerners in a key decision moment involving the interest of the 'North's then you can believe that a man of 90 year old can give birth to twins. Work with the reality on the ground first. I repeat we southerners are the architect of our own problems. We are busy trying to pull one another down while the northerners where busy consolidating on their positions. Today, we have SE gov meeting, SS gov meeting and SW gov meeting but the only have one Northern governors meeting. Think about that. To them the effects of creating geo political isn't a problem but to us its a great deal. This country must be restructured otherwise the cry of marginalization won't end. |

obailala:oh sorry you saw it that way, the pix was just to buttress the fact that you are actually correct apart from some few stuff missing. once again I am sorry about that. But come to think about it, now few states in the north have been mentioned. dont you think with time more will be included? Can these guys be trusted? Now have you ask yourself why they are doing this ? why now?Lol, going by the agitation of Biafra, the north fear for a breakup. they know that sooner or later, Nigeria is likely to be splitted, so they are trying to protect their interest. the north wants to join the Union of OUR OYEL |

trinity11:SO there are no Christian senators or Reps in the north?... Dogara the Speaker of the Reps from Bauchi state is a Muslim right?... Why don't you help us subtract all the Christian senators from the north too, maybe we should have started from there. But then again, doesn't it boggled your mind that whenever something that benefits the north comes up, both Christian and Mulsim northerners unite instantly?... Once again, 'unity' is the strength of the north, not numbers, Regarding the second paragraph, I'm not sure I understand your point. I simply mentioned that the clause in the PIB which includes pipeline bearing communities as 'host communities' will benefit far more southern communities that the few northern communities which we seem to be fixated on right now. Representatives from the hundreds of communities which will benefit from this wouldn't bat an eyelid if one or two northern communities get to benefit from it. |
| Re: PIB: Kano, Kaduna, Lagos Listed As Host Communities by obailala(m): 1:19pm On Jun 16, 2017 |
trinity11:My point is that you and too many other people here are just too fixated on the fact that some northern communities were mentioned and hence we miss the real picture. Fact is that I wouldnt be surprised if that part of the bill was wholly fought for by reps from the hundreds of new southern communities that would now be treated as host communities. The north might not even have anything to do with this at all. |

Newmanluckyman:What I tried to point out is that we've stressed the issue of numbers for too long but on critical examination, the difference in numbers is insignificant and can easily be dismantled if the south can be united to play a bit of politicking. You really believe the middle-belt's umbilical to the north cannot be broken?... Then it means you aren't paying attention. The only reason the middle-belt hasn't broken that link to the north is cos they have nowhere to run to considering that the south hasn't been able to put its house in order. The moment the south successfully unites for anything in this life, that is when you will understand that the middle-belt states, especially a state like Benue is absolutely sick and tired of the domination of the core north. REgarding restructuring, if you are wondering why it still isn't possible, you need not look far, just re-read the first 2 paragraphs above. |
