Making Malami Attorney General

Buhari actually called Femi Falana on phone telling him to get prepared to work in his cabinet(Falana himself attested to this in an interview with Channels TV) but Falana is not a politician just like Evans is not also a politician, the politician from Ekiti got the job and today, here we are!
ONE MINISTER PER STATE. Yeye!

FEMI FALANA as ATTORNEY GENERAL will not be losing Anticorruption cases serially the way this dunce is losing it.

LET US choose the best among us, if not, we will all suffer from our foolish addiction to mediocrity!

Saraki As Senate President

I have criticised PMB on several occasions. On the emergence of MESU as SP, on retaining certain mediocrities within his government, on his lackadaisical attitude towards providing leadership needed by the APC etc but on this war on corruption and continuous loss of prominent cases of corruption, I cannot blame him.

His major campaign word in 2015 was "if we(not I) don't kill corruption, corruption will kill us.."....tHIS statement means that war against corruption involves Division of Labour. PMB will fight it, Judiciary will fight it, NASS will fight it, PEOPLE will fight it. Every one has a responsibility. And Division of Labour is not a mere sharing of duties, the duties are shared according to area of Specialisation. PMB's job is prosecution and he has set a motion for the prosecution of untouchables and mighty. From the Senate President to the High level Judges, Lawyers(S.A.N inclusive) to former powerful office holders. His job is to prosecute. Unfortunately, Buhari only exists in the executive, if he had headed judiciary and NASS too, we won't be losing glaringly good cases on the alter of hypocritical technicalities and meaningful laws to help the war would have been passed. Also, if PMB had not tried or given impression that he will try the high and might of the NASS and judiciary, if it were to be war on corrupt teachers, vendors and farmers, may be the other arms would have cooperated.

MESU earthly but temporary triumph yesterday is the failure of the people of Nigeria who choose to remain helpless and always think that their governmental duties end at the poll! Unfortunately, their mouths are only good at doing one thing...Abusing PMB!

Crafty MESU dropped all his lawyers and went for Agabi. He knew what he was doing. He knew he can't defend himself because he is a thief, so he went for a plan that will compromise the case. Recall, PMB stood his ground and took him to court. Agabi was Danladi's former boss, Danladi's brother works in his Chambers till date and the Prosecution Lawyer Rotimi Jacobs was his former Personal Assistant. Unfortunately, the inexperienced Attorney General did not reconstitute or advise PMB to reconstitute CCT before the announcement of prosecution and he didn't change Jacobs when MESU changed his own lawyers knowing well the relationship between his own lawyer and Mesu new lawyer.

Old man Agabi, a rich and comfortable lawyer who in his heart of hearts know that Mesu is a thief ought not to have taken such a case. Gani Fawehinmi once rejected a similar case from a Governor. Everyone has failed Nigeria and the future of the incoming generation because of vanities!

I stand with BUHARI......IF WE DONT KILL CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION WILL KILL US.

Senate has full control of itself. Judiciary has full control of itself. These two are PRO CORRUPTION ARMS without remorse. Executive is also corrupt but there lies the hope if anything good will happen but unfortunately, it is the only arm that has no control!!!

I pity Sagay. I Think the man should resign too unless a new deal is cut. However, my respect for Sagay knows no bounds!!!

@Op, one thing you failed to realise is that PMB has allowed his quest for power at all cost to becloud the need for a better Nigeria. He has failed to learn from his 1984 mistakes... He has choosen to embark on a witch hunt with flagarant disregard fot the rule of law coupled with turning a deaf ear with to the voice of the people and surrounding himself with a cabal that seeks their own selfish interest with the attendant effect of grounding the country.
While the Saraki victory might be right or wrong in some quarters, it should be noted that it was just a game of power play and a show of political strength of who is who in the political 'football' field. If the CCB back then could not convict Tinubu, then they lack the locus standi to even try Saraki because as they say what is good for the goose is good for the gander... Both committed the same offense but one (Tinubu) was being called saint while the other (Saraki) was being touted as a sinner. This is just a case of selective prosecution of someone the presidency has loved to hate and would want to see out of government at all cost due their political fears.

PMB might mean well in speaking but his body languague say otherwise as well as his actions. If he was as apolitical and impartial as he says;
I wonder what well known criminals like Amaechi, Magu, Ngige, Kyari and a host of others are doing in his cabinet...
I wonder what could be used to describe incompetence other than Kemi Adeosun and Audu Ogeh
I wonder why criminals like Obasanjo,Tinubu, Abdusalam Abubakar,Atiku and their likes sill roam the villa at will...
I wonder what you will call corruption if not the hiding of the Babachair Lawal case and the failure to prosecute Magu who the DSS indicted for corruption...
I also wonder why the flagarant disregard for the rule of law when it comes to the cases of detained members of the opposition party and other cases that might not favour the government...
What more could be called corruption than refusing to make public the account of your loots recovered so far and still going ahead to borrow to finance the budget?
What could be described as cluelessness than when a government decided to subsidize the dollar rate for pilgrims going to Mecca and hoarding same from legitimate businesses that drive the economy?
What could be called wickedness and cluelessness than a government that keeps quiet on fulani herdsmen killing and raping everyone in sight, the killings in southern Kaduna, bombing of IDP camps to cover salient truths as well as hiding the so called released Chibok girls from Nigerians to find out the truth about the scam?
Agabi just did his job since the evidence against Saraki is not overwhelming.
Until Buhari removes ethnic, religious, political, regional, sentimental, emotional and vengeful bias from his person and government, I make bold to say that he will end up creating more problems for us Nigerians than the previous governments ever did.

ok. you all claimed tinibu was corrupt even though he was not pronounced guilty in any court. You also said he was dismissed and wrongly cleared by this cct. so, I think I should put the question to you. But all the same, my stand is that if tinubu is indeed corrupt and wrongly dismissed, that doesn't mean we should now put a blind eye on saraki face when you can clearly see the allegations. I lived in Ilorin and I know about the societal generale bank, not to talk of the allegations about house...or is it the kanu agabi issue? haba, one wrong doesn't make all wrong right

Adding up the Bola Tinubu case to this makes it all the more muddled up because I never mentioned or implied anything on him. It's just your imaginations playing pranks on you.

I'm tempted to join issues with you, to be honest, at least for the purpose of merely educating you, but I'll just walk away because of your very bizarre line of thought.

You can make your case without concocting lies to buttress whatever points you're intent on making.

2. look at his kitchen cabinets, capital Zero
3. will a reasonable President destroy d image of his country himself just because of hatred toward some ppl?
4. do u think a reasonable and ready to work President will allow someone like Saraki and dogara in his government? how will he succeed?
I am a die hard supporter of Pa Bubu but true be told I am disappointed that I can't mention his name outside to my friends.

The guy lacks the basic knowledge of the workings on the kind of politics going on in the country today. He solely relies on what he's fed on pages of newspapers and his ol' dear Sahara reporters. Can you blame him? I'd rather not. That's what you have to cope with because data bundles have become so cheap that even morons can afford.

if Nigerians blamed and abused GEJ for the failures of his appointees why should they pamper GMB?
what makes you think Falana would have done better?
Do you truly know those behind GMB's return to politics?
how come you are blaming everybody and not the C- in -C?
If GMB hadnt tried to cripple the SE,SS and NC Saraki wouldnt have lasted this long or wouldnt have emerged. Legislators from these zones have borrowed Saraki their powers and are also using him to make a statement - that they count.
why bring in Gani into this matter? didnt Falana defend Tinubu when sued for forgery and corruption by Gani?

Saraki was righteous when he mobilized northern governors and leaders to rebel against the PDP but a sinner when doing same in the APC.
The truth is that a faction of the PDP didnt see themselves grabbing power in 2015 so they took advantage of their position to work against nigerians courtesy of the subsidy protest. After the protest all manner of drama followed all in a bid to achieve a regime change. most of the politicians whose associates sabotaged us are now in this govt and your guess is as good as mine.
Not everyone in Nigeria is responsible for the crisis of governance but your likes who failed to interrogate the Buhari phenomenon before falling for him and the antics of desperate office seekers.
your thread simply points to the fact the GMB's capacity and capability is overrated and his charisma and character in the governace of Nigeria is inflated, thus the disaster he has turned out to be.
vendetta is the bane of this govt.
from 1999 to 2015 every President tried to avoid taking Nigerian into economic depression and failure. Some tolerated even the absurd but GMB came with eye service, gra gra and i too sabi to destroy the little that was left of the economy despite lacking functional knowledge to do better

For me his earliest mistakes were the delay in appointing ministers, sectional appointment of kitchen cabinet n service chiefs, his unguarded utterances within n outside Nigeria such as all Nigerians are criminals, 97% n 5% formula of governance and these few mistakes will continue to haunt us till the end of this administration

I still don't understand why some people are bitter about saraki's triumph. If he was already guilty, then why the trial? The CCT said the evidence presented had no probate value. Must the man be found guilty all the same. All over the world it's only the efcc in nigeria that publicizes it's investigations. In other places, they do a thorough job silently. That when they prosecute, they win.

This government failed even before the whistle was blown. And the cause was from the very top. When you pack an administration full of mediocre appointees due to nepotism. Success would depart from you.
Very matured and full of sense. May you remain at the top always. Amen.
Undeed, the adminstration frim history will never, I mean never receive my blessings. So far, from records, it is still the higest killer of Nigerians. Never in our history where a country can record defferent dead, some very very meaningless, some directly killed by apc government. For example, our own fighter jet flew out from its station, went straight to oue own IDP camp, drop heavy weight bumb directly at the camp thus killing them in thier hundreds.

I have to say the attitude of non interference that led to Saraki and Dogara were suicidal mistakes coupled with the lack of reforms, delay in appointing capable ministers, mediocre ministers and a corrupt judiciary. A one sided political witch hunt of opponents and lack of implementation of the 2014 Confab.

Honestly, I hope Bubu steps down and endorses Osinbajo so he can contest in 2019, things might be better with him at the helm of affairs.

Nice point from OP

But another important point we should all remember is that Buhari and his administration are trying to fight a culture of corruption that has been around for decades. Also, the fact that there are many corrupt individuals present in Buhari administration makes the whole fight against corruption a farce. In addition, the fact that crude oil price nosedived significantly after Buhari came into power makes the economy really hard and the fight against corruption more difficult.
Is he coursed by the gods? How is it that things don't work whenever he comes to power? The man is grossly corrupt and incompetent. Once bitten is twice shy! Next time, let him come from the grave and contest for presidency. Greedy old man!
